China's economy is in much better shape than ours, we're still their major purchaser, but they're coming close to being ok without us. And in war, industry booms. If they want to keep communism alive, they will support Kim Jung Il.

True, but regardless of the economic situation, USA and it's allies are not to be underestimated. Even though I think China and it's allies would stand a good chance if there was a war, there'd be heavy casualties on both sides (especially if it involved nuclear weapons). I don't think USA and China will ever go to war in our lifetimes, maybe in 500 years.

crossing my figures..I really dont want there to be another war.

I heard that SK and the US where doing military exercises today..I hope these are just precautions and that they dont want a war. that said, i did a little bit of research and it seems US relationship with china is pretty solid. I dont think they would go to war against us..would they? Would they have anything to gain?

While there may be a war, there will never be a nuclear war. If someone sends nuclear missiles heading our way, we'll send 3x the amount back and it'll lead to so much shit in the atmosphere no one will be able to live.

What makes you think anyone gives a damn about sending nukes over to your country? If there are any nukes fired it'll be a lot further East. You'll just blow yourselves up eventually.

Calm yourself. I think it was implied that the chances of any nukes flying anywhere are slim and none.

I saw that thing about China last night, it's reassuring. It'd be nice if they'd just completely hop over to our side, but merely staying the hell out of it is welcome too :)

China is not going to simply appear to give in to the US. It's not their style and they don't want to lose face. But, the strategic benefits if there were ever any of remaining allies with North Korea no longer make sense. China is an economic power that coexists with the US and most of the Asian countries in the region.

On that note, the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 (so the myth says) which makes you wonder if they knew about Sarah Palin running for President. I'm sure Nostradamus mentioned something about it in his writings.

I thought scientists got their math wrong and said nothig will happen in 2012. Not that I believe in any of that stuff.

Nonsense. They did the math wrong, 2012 is simply the wrong date.
The actual mayan calendar ends 2220.
