I've noticed that with the ipod touch there seems to be a huge learning curve. I know console and PC games have them but even for casual games there seems to be a big learning curve. I've been trying to get people into the ipod touch but they just can't get a handle on the controls. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?
It depends on the game I have an iPhone and my friends and family (with only one or two exceptions) can't understand why I like it so much. Not all games are created equal. And not all controls within games are created equal! If you are going to show off your ipod touch to friends then you really do need to pick suitable games. Something that is easy to control, as well as fun and quick to pick up and play. The two games that have I find fit the bill are Snail Mail and Touch Physics. Snail Mail has great tilt controls and is heaps of fun and easy to play. Touch Physics provides great interaction with between the user and the game. The shapes you draw with your finger appear in the game and interact rest of the game screen.
yeah females seem to love the iphone and always wanna play it and I have pages and pages of games and they never seem to like any of the games on there and don't even know what to do lol I'll just load up koi pond and they go ooo aaaah and usually just let everyone play flick fishing they seem to play that easy I know when I first hand en my phone they don't know how to turn it on and don't know what to do once is on with the icons lol they think its some super advance phone they are scared to hold it and touch it from fear of breaking it
Hehe I just got snail mail and it's a lot of fun. One thing that I like to show people is Spawn which I bought so when I listen to music I can just play with the firework type thing. But when I bring out any puzzle game or anything else at all they go "what the hell" try it for like 2 mintues and just give it back to me. Other gamers are different of course, just give it to them and I won't likely get it back for a while.
