Haven't heard of that one. TBH, I don't really think I'd call the theme "steampunk". Sure it fits the era, the technology and all that, but we tried to stick with a more "plausible reality" core theme, with layers of extras piled on top. We obviously have plenty of fantastical stuff (a fully armored 'Paladin' with a hammer and a pistol is obviously not plausible reality ), but still, the core feel (theme wise) is something between steampunk and BF1, I think.
I don't wanna ruin the good mood of this thread but, guys, you do know that when iOS 11 releases, most of your games will stop working?I'm not talking about H&C 1,which is not needed anymore since we have H&C 2 but BH 1,BH 2,it would be sad to see them disappear but that's your decision guys. You are all great anyway!
Yeah that's part of the whole concept of the game. You can play a ton of different ways. From auto-play where you sit back and watch the battles, to strategic command where you can order your squads (move, follow, protect, target specific units, etc), to focusing just on shooting with your hero (the unit AI is solid enough so that you can do this and be fine, albeit it'll never be as good as full manual orders), to any combination of the above. These aren't "modes" or anything - you can seamlessly do anything you want during a battle, whenever you want, so its up to you as the player. We even have it so if you're running low on time while playing sometimes, you can even auto-complete a battle instantly (which actually simulates the battle, so its fair).
If you were to use auto-complete, wouldn't that make the chances of winning the 'battle' a bit lower since your hero (the player) is not participating? Or would the hero be in AI mode for the rest of the hypothetical battle?
The battle would be calculated as if everything was being played with AI, including your hero. But I would say in general, most people won't be Auto-Completing battles unless they have to go somewhere, or its a no-brainer fight that you know you'll win - its really just a mobile convenience.
Ohh, I see, so based on how many troops you have in the battle or other factors, the chances of winning are the same as if you were to put your hero (and troops) in AI mode for the rest of the battle, so it's calculated accordingly. I was confused if you could win from random chance or not
We're very close - not sure if it'll hit this week, but almost surely in another week or 2. Probably will start actual sign-ups some time this week though, so keep your eyes peeled!
