Nothing new yet... but we're making a ton of progress (I know its hard to imagine based on no new screens, etc >_<). I'm hoping we can open up a beta in a few weeks now. We're pretty much at a "put together all the remaining holes" and transitioning out of placeholder art, adding sfx, music, etc. Still have a decent amount of UI to do, and the strategic map screen is still a work in progress... but we're getting there! Just 2 factions. Unique factions are something we may think about for a future addition.
This feels like... The longest. Foursaken Media development cycle. Ever. I rarely comment on forums anymore, keep coming back for these dudes and a smattering of others... 10tons, CM, rtc. It also has such a great potential, too, by pure design.... could be their best game yet!
This probably is indeed one of the longest dev cycles for us, for sure. The scope kind of blew up for this game and has just been a real challenge in general to get everything working right (from a game play perspective). We're probably around 3-5 months behind what we thought we'd be, but we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! Its been extra weird for this game in particular because we've had portions of the game pretty much finished for months (for ex, the actual 3rd person battles). At one point we even considered simply dropping the strategic map portion and simply making it more like a sequence of battles, ala HC2... No comment
This looks awesome I am the founder and owner of a clan called MvG (most valuable gamers). With many members in my community we are always looking for new games to play, we play and test several games still in development and are always looking to help the gaming community in any way possible. I would love to try this game and help the development in any way I can.
I'm so glad you didn't. While I'm sure the game would have been great, I wouldn't have been nearly as excited for that as I am for this! Take your time, but hurry up! #
Does it matter? From what I can see from the gifs on page 1, it seems like they're the same except for the flags.
