      I just realized that i can not perform a search for a particular artist or song title in my iPhone.

      This really sucks !

      I know the new 3.0 OS will have a search engine in it, will it also include songs stored in iPod?

      Yes. Either find a download for 3.0 or wait.

      ^ Yes, the new spotlight feature covers iPod music, as well as a search bar within iPod.app itself.

      I was really surprised when I noticed this too. I really expected it to be included.

      when i first got my ipod i looked for a while and realized it didnt have it which struck me because the 2nd gen nano has it....

      I was surprised when I saw the feature in a friend's classic. But yeah, it'll be in 3.0 :D

      Wait so that feature is in the iPod classic and the iPod nano but not the touch? Hmmm... that's just weird. I'm glad they'll finally add it in 3.0.
