Everytime I try to claim the warranty there's always some unnoticeable dust under the screen... Should I just give up? Fourth one since November :p

How did you notice something that isn't noticeable?

I took it under the brightest lamp I could find and searched for ten minutes.
Edit: Not very noticeable then. :p

So... do you often look at your electronics under a lamp for fun?

I think the issue is paranoia not the ipod...

I've got it, too, but seriously? You can barely make it out when the displays off, let alone when it's on.

i have white pixels in the corner of the screen. Sometimes it's really annoying, and sometimes I don't even notice it. I don't know what causes it, because if the pixels were dead, they would have been black. Sometimes things like this just drive me crazy. At least it's good that they are in the corner. On my first iPod I had 3 dead pixels in the middle of the screen, I think it's the main reason I got a new one LOL.

When I bought my iPod Touch at Best Buy, I think they gave me a refurb in brand new packaging.

    • Scratches on front bezel.
    • White and tiny blotch on the screen.
    • Dust under screen.
    • Home button works less than half the time.
    • Glass is a bit crooked.
    • Sleep button is sharp and hard to press.
    • Mic jack sticks out a bit.

After finding all this on a brand new device, I figured if I go back for an exchange, I'll just get the same or worse or get told it's my fault because I didn't buy their warranty. Had similar issues with an iPhone.

yeah, if you've still got warranty. and you'll probably get a 3rd gen since there are no more ist gens in stock.

Yeah, my friend has a completely cracked screen, and it will fall apart nless he puts his case upside down, so the little cover that covers the bottom and home button actually holds the glass on the top together. He's not even going to return it.

Dust isn't that big of a deal. You can't even see it
