Well I think that was the last chance we had at getting iPod music playback, so... That sucks. Glad they fixed that bug, though.
Yeah, I don't understand at all why they wouldn't add the ability for music playback. It gets really repetitive listening to the 5 songs they have here, played in the same sequence every time. Still a fantastic game, however.
Got this game a few days ago and loving it. Nearly exactly as I remember it (except for the soundtrack of course). Already 100%'d career with Rodney Mullen and Geoff Rowley 1 complaint though is that I REALLY think they changed something about the physics in the game. I've gotten all the gaps in the first three levels except for "Are you serious" gap in School 2 and "Freakin' Huge Hip" in Marseille. I tried for near two hours last night for the Are you serious gap (thank god for the skip to restart cheat) by hitting the QP twice in the corner of the Carlsbad area, Boneless'ing off the kicker, nosegrind'ing the rail and boneless'ing again as soon as I come off the rail and onto the kicker. Has anyone else playing this on the iPhone 4 hit either of those gaps? EDIT: Also, they've editted the New York level. I distinctly remember being able to wallride and wallie into oblivion from the top of the awning behind you at the start. You get onto it by jumping off to the left at the top of the subway rails. Lining it up proper by grinding the rail on the raised platform behind it doesn't work. D:< nevermind, got it, got all the gaps in NYC
Really? Has no one hit the "Are you serious" gap in School 2? EDIT: GAH, I juuuuust about hit it after a million tries but bailed? it was a clean landing yet I somehow bailed on the edge and stayed on it. D:
You bumped a thread that hadn't had any activity in a month... You can't expect people to jump on a question about the second level. I didn't get that gap until much later in the game. I always start with Geoff but his Hang Time stat is extremely low so I had to save some cash to boost Hang Time, Air, and Speed. There aren't any tricks to getting that gap other than repetition and luck
¬.¬ I bumped it up from my earlier post. Was thinking that it was lost in the swarm of discussion threads about different apps. I could swear that something has been changed between THPS2 on the PS1 and the iPhone. Perhaps the boost in FPS has had an adverse effect, the same way fps can affect behaviour in Quake and CoD. :S
I think it's a port of the PC version. I've played the N64 version quite a bit and now have the PC version, and it runs much more smoothly on the PC than it ever did on the N64.
Ok, I want to apoligise to everyone here for coming across as an ass the other day. I was able to make the gap earlier today, seems I was ollieing too early on the second kicker. I feel like an ass. haha. Anyways, going to 100% with each character now
Such an outstanding game...but man I wish it supported iPod playback. Especially when that hip hop song is playing. "Fre fre fre fre fre fresh kicks on!" Man I hate that song.
