Yeah, I tried to find a gamesave for the PC version of the game on Gamefaqs before, but nothing. Plus, the N64, Dreamcast, and PSX save files are all the wrong kind. I'll try to find the data in my THPS2 folder on my desktop, but someone's on right now, so it's going to be a bit. And when I opened up the save file in WinSCP, all that came up was a bunch of letters, numbers and symbols on one line. Unless anyone understands them, it's not going to work. It's definetly not that I screwed up since the same method worked for unlocking all the characters in Battle Blasters (I wasn't beating Hard mode anytime soon... I wanted to play as BROC). And cheats could pop up at any moment. The GTA: Chinatown Wars cheats came from pretty much nowhere, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened for this game.
I do what I can And yea that's been my whole experience as well... It's all come back to me! Even my wife remembered where half the goals are! And yes my wife would school most of you on the PSX ver. of this game... So far only beat 100% with one char. I'm about halfway with my second char, I don't see beating everything 100% with everyone for at least another 2-3 weeks, but we'll see!!!
Wow, that qualifies your wife as an automatic babe. I'm still working on my first character, but I definitely want to 100% with them all. The real test of bad assery is if you can complete the gap checklist. It literally took me sooo many months to do that. Trying to discover where the gaps are based on their descriptions or just getting lucky and finding them. First person to do THAT wins an extra cookie.
I'll be honest here, Even after all the playtime I've had (Must be more then any game I have ever played) I don't think I ever 100% the gap check list... There is just SOOOOO many in this game, and yes first one to do that wins the TA prize of the year!!!
Damn, Marseilles is kicking my behind. Not the actual competition, but with the location of the money. I can't see any more money on the level, so I would assume I have all of it... but this is Tony Hawk, so I probably assumed wrong. I bet there's a secret area that I forgot about or something Any tips on possible secret areas on Marseilles? I wish I could say I was hardcore like all of you I played THPS2 a ton, but most of that play time went to my Game Boy Advance. Not to say I didn't spend countless hours on my N64 version, but the games in the series I spent the most time on were the first one and the third one (oh Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3... I love you <3)
Nice Mike Hawk. I get it. HAVE YOU SEEN MIKE HAWKE? (It was on The Soup a few weeks ago...hilarious!)
I don't blame you, like you said there's tons of gaps and some of them are extremely hard to find. My old roommate and I would play this game incessantly, and even though we 100% every character we'd still free skate for hours at a time just for the pure fun of it. It probably helped we both skate in real life too. But sometimes, you just need a goal to complete. That's when the gap checklist came into play to give us something to do. If free skating got dull, we'd pop into a level and go for a gap or two. It's astounding the amount of stuff there is to do in this game. It's very possible that I never changed this disc from my PS1 for a solid year. There IS a secret area, but would it really be that fun if we TOLD you where it is?
LoL same, it's all me and my friends would play, needless to say I saw them for Easter and showed them the iPhone ver. and 2 of them bought it immediately! The gaps were hard and I think we had most of them but I'm sure there was one we just couldn't get Agreed! Look around for anything that "Stands" out in the level... and maybe a small stick... Ok I've said too much!
Aha! I found it. I thought I remember a visual from the second game where something fell and broke down something else. Looks like that was definitely right I forget: Does every level have a secret area?
I just bought this, after playing it I am not sure why I waited. This is a really fantastic game and it brings back a lot of memories. Maybe I held off because I am still mad at myself for picking up Tony Hawk Ride.
Oh boy... I'm so sorry to hear about that. In fact, I'm so sorry about it, that I'm deleting that game's name from your post. Don't be blasphemous. Don't mention such a horrid game in this godly game's thread, please.
Yup yup yup. It has the same Career mode as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater has always had. Same goals, cash locations, and everything.
How did that happen? Which skater did you use? I want to do that. xD Oh, and quick question; should i upgrade every skill point of one skater, or balance it over multiple skaters?
All the money you earn in a skater's career can only be used for that career. If you make $20,000 with Tony Hawk, you can only use that money on Tony Hawk, and to unlock tricks and skateboards for Tony Hawk. Money can't be used between characters.
