The codes will be gone by the time I get home from work, but I have to say that I watched the vid and the graphics and gameplay look mighty fine! Looking forward to more impressions...
Yup, all gone, but this is a GREAT developer. I remember getting Iron Fist when it was first released, and they constantly updated it to the point that the current version is almost a different game. I know lurkers took some codes, but please leave impressions if you got a code. I'm low on funds, but definitely have this on my radar based on the dev alone. I'd love to know more about it from forum members.

It's a shame all the lurkers took the codes and didn't leave any feedback. Annoying about lurkers taking codes, though- do people seriously just sit there waiting for codes to appear or what? I just hope some of these guys actually post reviews. sizzlakalonji Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Apr 16, 2009 5,712 1 0 Indiana, USA #12 sizzlakalonji, Mar 25, 2011 Still no impressions? Combat, the main emphasis of the game, is fast and visceral. Enemy fighters twist and turn, and are pretty adept at dodging your shots, even though you auto-track them to some degree, so jockeying for position is pretty crucial, which makes the fighting very enjoyable. My only gripe is that the basic weaponry is pretty underpowered, so you have to shoot even the basic enemies a lot. Also, it's probably explained elsewhere, but i don't understand why your powerups are lost when you progress from stage to stage. Control-wise, i found the accelerometer to handle my movements very well, but the same cannot be said for the virtual controls. The V-stick has too small a deadzone, so resting your thumb on it in the 'neutral' position needs a lot of precision. Furthermore, if you are holding down the fire button, and make a manoeuver, then let go of the v-stick, your ship gets stuck turning right, as the multi-touch seems to have been programmed incorrectly. The speed up/ slow down button probably could also be separated into two distinct buttons, and some kind of speed guage might be implemented to make it clear how fast you are actually going. The roll manoeuver is also very poorly implemented, as you enter a preset animation, where the ship rolls on the spot, even if at the time you were turning or climbing/ diving. Music is nice, if you like that high-energy sound, however sound effects are rather muted in comparison- i turned them to 4 bars in the audio settings, and set music to 2 bars, but still found that it dominated the soundscape. It would also be nice to be able to adjust these from within the pause screen, but as it is, you have to exit the current game to be able to change any of the options. Overall, definitely worth the asking price, but i do hope that it will be supported with updates to address a couple of the issues that i had. arta Well-Known Member Feb 14, 2009 6,902 1 36 #15 arta, Mar 26, 2011 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel sizzlakalonji Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Apr 16, 2009 5,712 1 0 Indiana, USA #16 sizzlakalonji, Mar 26, 2011 Thanks for the impressions. I read the origin story for the PSP version. It's pretty interesting. Apparently it started as a homebrew game that eventually got ported to the Playstation Store. I started out playing as the first character and ship, which has a supposedly powerful primary weapon, and a totally useless charge-up secondary weapon, and found that often when dogfighting, it would be difficult to keep blasting away at the enemy fighters, who are slippery, and jink around in your sights, so it would be a real struggle to kill them since they can take a lot of hits. It's still pretty entertaining, as you'd really feel the pressure, but it could tend to get frustrating in longer missions. I then went back to the start and tried the other characters, whose ships by default have missiles, and it's definitely tempered that frustration. Being able to play through with different ships certainly opens up the possibilities for playing 'your way'. The unlockable artwork is a cool idea too. Overall, i'm enjoying this a lot! [EDIT] I think there may be a bug in the end-of mission stats, though- you get a hit percentage, and number of friend/ enemy units killed, but i just finished a mission now, where i had 0% in all three stats, in spite of blasting a considerable number of enemies. I'm currently going to stick with my playthrough with Capt... is it Agawa? (the 3rd character, don't have my itouch at hand to check); i'm enjoying combining gunning the enemies with hitting them with a missile if they're too evasive.
