Title says it all. I'm sick of reading threads (especially Minigore) where people say something bad about the game and then die-hard fanboys come by and say 'Well if you don't like it, you shouldn't buy it!' If you're not one of these stupid fanboys and want to join the club, feel free to apply if you wish to talk about games (and other things) intelligently. I will check some of your past posts, and if you're clean, you're in. If not, let me save you the trouble... REJECTED.
I'd like to join, but I got to the part where you said: ...and thought to myself... "isn't that common sense?". So assuming common sense isn't allowed either I'll have to stay here on the outside
Thank you for pointing this out MidianGTX. It's obvious that when you buy a game that disappoints you, the best answer is to go back in time and say to your past "Do not buy this game! You will not like it!" Thank you for this great little nugget of insight. Unlike you, I do not own my private time machine yet (coming in the mail in the next 2-3 weeks!) so I take risks while buying my games. If it disappoints me even after I thought it looked good and after reading all the hype, well... I guess that's my fault.
Depends how you're saying it I suppose, I can name a ton of games I don't like and haven't bought. I just think it's a poor example, there are more appropriate fanboy quotes out there.
But that is the most common and most ridiculous one. I don't understand why you're having problems seeing it's stupidity? Telling someone they shouldn't have bought something they THOUGHT THEY'D LIKE BUT ENDED UP NOT LIKING is the stupidest thing ever.
You didn't mention that at all, which is why it's a bad example. You could've found one that explains itself without having to add all the back story.
as much as i'd like to get in, im hypocritical. Sometimes i play fan boy but only for PG, the rest i could care less about. so ill stay with median and stay ouside
TA is starting to turn into facebook, where a group is made for every little thing (I so hate the little triangles windshield wipers don't clean with a passion, though).
ps3 fanboy? I cant i was an eliminate fanboy, then I realised that eliminate is a huge scam that lags...
I'm thinking the group should be named something about being non-biased. I'm quickly becoming a Labyrinth fanboy, but that doesn't mean I'm defending it till hell freezes over, in fact I'm voicing all the concerns I have to the dev to try and get the game perfected even more.
Well, apparently I'm going to have to restate the means of entry better because a bunch of people are missing the mark. What I meant to say is this: If you are in love with Minigore and someone complains about it and in response to that complaint you say 'No one cares' or something rude along those lines, then you cannot join. If you like a certain developer and whatever but you don't think they are 'almighty' and don't worship everything they do to the point that even the slightest criticism against the game makes you go on a flame-rage, then you can join. Basically what I mean is: Be prepared to see your favorite game bashed, and be prepared to put up to it in a diplomatic way. Hope that's better. Mea culpa on the confusion.
