    Zelda. Duh!

It's really good. Really really good. They've balanced the discovery of an open world so perfectly that just when I'm starting to get tired, something cool turns up. Just got my first horse (solid black!). Pish posh to starting on the speckled ones! :D

I had to ask its funny quite a few people i know did not get zelda when first purchasing their switch which to me is downright bizarre.
Wow getting tired already! You havent even scratched the surface lol you will have some awesome experiences, also try not to use a walkthrough if u can? I used it twice for 2 missions but most of the fun is finding out, and i dont think think it ever gets to ripping your hair out apart from a few puzzles lol

Ive currently got 13 games, the better ones personally are i am setsuna, lego, wonderboy and shovelknight is also a ton of fun. I like fast rmx but not played much as i lose intrestest quite fast.
Well good luck on your discoveries with zelda!
P.s are u saying u have a plain black horse?? In the 205 hours i played i have not found a completely one coloured horse, if thats the case can u tell me where as ive got almost one colour but the hooves are white

I was trying to get a plain black horse by one of the stables. I'll look up where but I'm knew with horses and couldn't get it under control. Actually totally unsure how to get them under control. Am o supposed to be taught how at some point? My exploring got me attacked by enemies on horses and after one attacked me and I hit him I jumped on his horse.

Some horses are more wild than others so they are harder to tame. If you find a calm one it's not hard to control. After you jump on you have to press a button to soothe the horse. Can't remember which button at the moment though. Also, the more stamina you have the longer you can stay on a bucking horse in order to tame it.

    I just rode a
    bear
into battle with a giant skeleton in the south-east part of the map. This game... man.

And it's a fully black horse with a white mane. Not sure on the hooves. I saw it by the first stable you come across, ran it down and tamed it. Did y'all know you can feed your horses?

Oh, and when I said I'm getting tired - as much as I like skyrim, the things you do in its open world are boring. Really boring. In Zelda, I spent 40 minutes to climb a mountain just to see what's on the other side. And there was a whole area that's off the map and doesn't even have any towers. It was just there, in case you come across it.

You know, overall the Switch makes me go back to the days of the PSP-3000 which, other than iOS, was my only mobile console. Also the first one I purchased with my own money. I'm even considering NOT selling it. :gasp:

Yes, the amazing detail and stuff to see or what like to call explore/adventure is crazy. I know it sounds a bit crazy to say but with my pace of mayb an hour a day and the distractions I run into each time I play I could see myself play this for six months or more and not even be done etc... the environment and stuff going on and things to see makes this world feel endless on the sense each time I've played it feels new and fresh with possibilities. I know overly dramatic but I'm being completely honest!

I found an awesome way to tame ANY horse straight away!
As soon as you jump on mash the L button untill a pink cloud comes off the horse to say it likes you...as soon as it does that stop the horse by pressing back, then get off the horse straight away then quickly jump on, move forward a couple of steps, then mash the L button, stop the horse again, jump back on, move and mash the L button, and repeat untill maxed. One of my all black horses a really wild one with white hooves, i maxed within a minute by doing this, it took a bout 20-30 likes from the horse, but its the easiest and fastesr way to level up horse

Awesome. I'll need to try. I opened Lake Tower today and now have that region of the map which blows my mind. I'm glad it doesn't autopopulate the map or I would be disappointed as I still love exploring! However it sure is interesting to have the Great Plateau and now this second region map.

It's funny that people are praising Zelda for not populating the map. I've been turning off the minimap in every game I could since Assassin's Creed Black Flag. That game is so much better without all the BS Ubisoft litter it with.

I'm assuming you turned the display to pro mode which takes away the map all together. I prefer that mode and can quickly check the time and map if necessary with the touch of one button.

I never played and Assassin's Creed games but have heard the complaint of the open work games that aren't as truly open world and have everything on a map etc... I was debating to open up towers which would show the map of regions but clearly having them is still helpful especially since BOTW does it in my opinion the right way.

That is a great area, i love the map and how it works. If u zoom in on the map and carefully scan it u can figure out where they may be places of interest i.e look for water, ponds, strange shaped monuments e.t.c i discovered crazy things!
Also try and discover some secrets about waterfalls!

I caved a few minutes ago. I wasn't going to get it yet, because I'm still getting so much mileage out of Zelda, I've not even finished the first Shovel Knight game (loving it), let alone the other two, and I have hardly started The Dragon's Trap (everything I hoped it would be, from what I've played). Also, I don't really like racing games, never have.

But it's Mario Kart! Even people who don't like racing games like Mario Kart (proof: me). Ordered a physical copy, and should be able to pick it up Sunday...

I hit download on Mario Kart before I left for work this morning. Should be ready to go when I get home. Hoping to get my kids to play this evening. Kinda wish I had an extra pair of Joycons.

I haven't played a Mario Kart since Mario Kart DS so I'm going to be pretty rusty.

You all are killing me. I'm not a huge racing fan and only played Mario Kart Wii because a that is what everyone did with the Wii. I didn't love it and thought it was fun but hadn't thought about getting it as I'm tied up playing BOTW.
