The nintendo 3DS will be using 3-D graphics and it won't even need glasses! http://ds.ign.com/articles/107/1079233p1.html It will also be backwards compatible This is also the successor to the DS line
Waaay to early to say, depends a lot on the 3D tech they use. If it's anything like I imagine (let's admit it, nothing ever is) then I'm sold, otherwise it's up in the air.
Weird, I just saw this before seeing this thread! Yeah, it will be sweet - if there are good games for it.
Samesies, bro. Probably wouldn't buy it for monetary reasons, either. I'm waiting 2-3 months for the price to drop on a lot of 360 games.
Since Nintendo DS is the best system ever created, abso-effing-lutely. Its successor should be even better.
I pretty much give any personal electronic a shot. That's why I love a return policy. So this 3DS will be a day one purchase for me.
Yes, pretty much regardless of the rest of the details to be revealed, because I'm a huge Nintendo fanboy. And I love me my handheld game devices. The 3D news does leave me more worried than wet with anticipation though.
Yes, but it depends on three factors: 1. How the 3D is implemented. 2. If Nintendo pushed DSWare more and more. DD (digital download) exclusives are a great idea, IMHO, especially for the more "mini" or mobile-style sorts of games (think the games that best "fit" iPhone/touch, like DoodleJump, etc.). 3. If they expand the idea of DD to include downloads of the entire Game Boy family library to make up for lack of backwards compatibility with the Game Boy line. From the original, to Color, to Advance. Basically, DSVC (DS Virtual Console) ala WiiVC. They could even expand it to classics from NES, SNES, etc. (and Genesis and Turbo Duo), but, honestly, I'd rather they focus primarily on emulation of the Game Boy libraries first and foremost.
If they did that then the 3Ds would need some internal storage space implemented which was never really necessary before since they only used external discs but if they do put in the gameboy library in it I would be VERY happy
/facepalm. The DSi has 1GB of space in it plus can be expanded with an SD card up to 32GB. I think there could be even more memory in it.
