Just went through the 10 announced Ambassador Program games. They're actually some pretty good games I used to play. Not a bad deal at all, especially the GBA games. Mario Kart 3, Warioware, Metroid Fusion, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3? Those were killer games back then, and more than match up to similar games on the iOS. I hope the 10 unannounced ones match up in quality. Soon I'll have a huge backlog on my 3DS as well, rofl. In any case, that's definitely more than $80 worth of compensation.

Lol, 830,000 3DS have been sold in the US as reported 3 days ago. However, 810,000 copies of Ocarina of Time was reported to have been sold in the US as of two days ago. Console seller indeed.

After reading that the PSP (which came out how many years ago?) sold over twice as many units as the 3DS in the past quarter, I really want to go back to playing PSP games. Crisis Core was the last game I played. Went through the game twice, achieving 100% the second time, which took 80 hours (nothing compared to my 600 hours on Dinosmash Online for the iPod) for just that one playthrough. I think I'll just wait until the Vita is out though before I start dishing out money to buy games for four handhelds at once.

So why did they never apologize for the last two systems? Are low sales the only factor in their attitude and treatment toward customers?

I bought the GBA and DS at launch, only to watch them replace both shortly after with 'new and improved' systems that boiled down to things they should have had in the first place (like screens that we could actually _see_ the game we're playing)

Considering Nintendo has made a business model out of reselling the same system to largely the same customers, is it any wonder why early adopters tend to feel a little cheated?

Hence why I didn't even bother with the 3DS: I already knew a 3DS Lite is inevitable before they even got this one on shelves. I knew it will be much cheaper than this one debuted (especially after this price drop). And I have long suspected that it will have some drastic changes. The fact that they seem to now realize attaching their system to the 3D craze as a mistake would suggest this part will be necessary. They've proven that it certainly isn't enough to attract the sort of sales they enjoyed in the past.

So they could drop it to $100 but I'm not buying until the time is right. I won't be suckered again into being an early adopter. There isn't even anything about their first year library compelling me to do otherwise: Zelda OOT will still be there next year or the year after, when they do get around to making these obsolete.

As someone that purchased two original GBAs and modded one with a light kit and the the other with TV-out I agree with you. I sold both of them off off to purchase the GBA SP as soon as it came out. I sold the original DS off long before the release of the DS Lite due to lack of games.

Let's see Microsoft screw up with the xbox-whoops, they already did. But hey, I have a black xbox elite....I'm so bored that I bought a dremel (35,000 RPM, some plastic, and a hot glue gun at Lowes, not to mention sandpaper.

The finished product will look like this:

(Without the LED's, I'll use a blue talismoon whisper fan instead, also a blue RF board, and a customized HDD)

And the hard drive will look like this, after using a dremel and some blue LED's
    [IMG]

Not to mention replacing the RF board for a blue one, with 5 more blue LED's

And then sell for either a black ops PS3 (Jailbreakable) or a 3DS. After all, I have a spare xbox lol (my brother)
