MH4U's graphics are surprisingly superior on the "New" models compared to the old ones. Check out a comparison and you'll see the difference in texture and shadow quality
Yeah I saw this too, hopefully they've added a little anti-aliasing. I am glad it runs at 60 fps in almost all areas
Counting the days till the 13th. Gonna pick up a black n3ds XL and monster hunter. Hopefully the glossy finish isn't too annoying. Wanting MH4U really badly, MH3U has become a bit less exciting ever since trying out the multiplayer in the mh4u demo
I just tried the New 3DS XL demo at GameStop. It was loaded up with Majora's Mask. I was blown away by the quality of the 3D! I'll be picking one up on the 13th as well First game will definitely be A Link Between Worlds. Any suggestions would be great.
If you have even a remote interest in pokemon definitely pick up Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire, monster hunter 4U (I would look up some videos before hand, its not for everyone, i do recommend it though! ), Ocarina of time 3d, mario kart, and without a doubt fire emblem. Theres a huge library of games so I'm sure you'll find a bunch to keep you busy! Between my 3ds, vita, and computer my backlog is far too big! I can't wait for the 13th!
@Fireball926 - thanks so much for your recommendations! I'll definitely be buying all the Zelda games available (not all at once ), all the Mario platformers, Mario Kart, and any other Nintendo staples (Metroid anything). Not a Pokemon fan at all. Not sure about Fire Emblem as I've never played one, and don't think MH is my cup of tea. I like the straight classics mostly. Looking forward to the Zelda ports (Orcarina & Majora's Mask) and most definitely A Link Between Worlds. A Link To The Past is my absolute favorite Zelda, and it's in my top 5 games of all time. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I played through that on the Super Nintendo. I'm out of the loop with Nintendo, as my last handheld was the custom Zelda (regular) DS. And I have no idea where it's at. So I'll have to start doing some research of my own on what's out there. @JCho - yeah man, I was super excited to try it out in the store! It was at Denstiny USA, a gigantic mall in Syracuse, NY, a couple hours from where I live. It's one of the largest shopping centers in the US, so I'm not sure all the GameStop stores will have them out. I'll be checking in to my local store to reserve one on Monday, so I'll get to see if they have them on display there too.
If anyone still wants them, i still have 2 unused EU codes buried somewhere in my E-mail. I have to find them first, but if anyone wants them let me know.
Quick question:- Can anyone confirm that the new 3DSXL Monster Hunter limited edition has digital version of the game instead of a physical copy? (Uk version) I pre-ordered one and a friend told me today that the game is a digital preloaded copy. Not sure if he's winding me up or not. I need to know because if he's right I have to cancel my preorder and buy the metallic blue 3DS instead with a physical copy of the game.
Such an awesome Nintendo day: I've got the Codename Steam demo on my 3DS (which is awesome!) and Metroid Prime Trilogy downloading on my Wii U
Oh man. As much as I love 2D Metroid games the Prime series is stunning in its own right. Wasn't entirely sure what to expect the first time I played it but was completely blown away.
I would rather have a 2D Metroid over a Prime any day, but I'm still extremely happy to have the Primes because they are damn good. Woulda been nice if they had given the wii version of the trilogy classic controller support so we could play it on the Gamepad
