Yeah, same thing happened to me, except I bought my XL 2 weeks before they announced the New. I kinda had a nagging feeling that they'd announce a new model but I did not expect it so soon. Haven't regretted it at all though, and haven't bought an ios game since August. I'm mad at myself for ever leaving Nintendo handhelds
I just picked up Fantasy Life, let me know if anyone here is adventuring so we could swap friend codes and team up. Also I didn't get much into any of the eshop titles until I decided to break and buy Cave Story for $10. I love how it handles on the 2DS, and now I'm considering some others. I'm guessing Shovel Knight and Shantae should be my next purchases? I also completely stopped bothering with iOS titles. Back to playing with buttons, and full gameplay packages so it's hard to enjoy iOS titles now with all the timers, and small sighted gameplay ideas. You really do see how much development goes into the larger production of handheld games over mobile.
Mostly yes! I've been playing my 3ds so much more over my ipad as of late. That being said, ios still has an significant advantage over niche genres, namely Rhythm games and board games (which are the only types of games on my ipad). Also 3 weeks 'til Persona Q, getting hype!
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Radiant Historia Kirby Mass attack Contra 4 Okamiden Aliens: Infestation
The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
That's a nice list, I've been meaning to play Aliens Infestation and Contra 4 as well (gotta love WayForward!). And Code Name STEAM is my most anticipated 3DS title at the moment, followed by Xeodrifter and MH4U
I'm thinking about getting a 3ds xl. What games should I get??? I currently have animal crossing new leaf, any more suggestions?
Steamworld Dig, Shovel Knight, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, Super Smash Bros, Fire Emblem Awakening, Super Mario 3D Land, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (!!)
That's great, I assume you'll be getting an XL? Just be mindful that the new and improved "New" 3DS models will be coming out early next year. Might want to hold out until those come out of you won't have the money to buy one upon release.
Binding of Isaac Rebirth is now basically confirmed for 3DS. Also, Xeodrifter and Moon Chronicles episodes 2-4 are on the verge of being released
Just dropping by. I haven't played anything besides Smash on the 3DS since it came out, and it looks to stay that way. I feel like I should play it more to justify the purchase, but I did essentially get it for free (that's a story for another day). Have fun, out there. Spend time with your loved ones this week, not just with your loved devices.
My thoughts on Persona Q: It definitely lives up to the hype and then some. While the game is more linear than previous titles, everything about it adds up to an enjoyable experience. The music is amazing, the story is quirky and fun, and I love the battle system (first exposure to the EO style). I highly recommend it, but only if you've played Persona 3 and 4 first, because this game really doesn't work as a stand alone title (many references).
Got a free code on Twitter only played it for a few minutes but it's awesome. One question can you swim or is that an ability you can get later on? First planet I went to required swimming and I felt dumb cause I couldn't do anything lol
I don't know, can you swim?? Btw, you'll notice each planet map has a different number of little white squares in the top corner. One has 1, one has 2, one has 3, and one has 4. I'd suggest traveling to the planet that has 1. I only realized that after traveling to two other planets and not being able to go anywhere PS. You got a code? You lucky bastard
Oh ok thanks for the tip!! I watched a review of the game and it does look like you can get the ability to travel under water in some sort of ship. Lol yeah I won it on Twitter from NintendoTweet in partnership with the developer RenegadeKid
