Gosh there is a plethora of great titles on the eShop. I've assembled a wish list for myself of about $83 of eShop exclusives alone!
I've opted (unless something mind blowing comes out) for an only Nintendo rule on 3DS purchases. I feel like I can get a majority of the rest of the games in some other form for less money. But the Nintendo specific stuff... just can't get that anywhere else!
More the latter. I mean, if something exclusive to 3DS came out that was earth shattering, I might consider it. But really, I plan to only get games by Nintendo.
I understand. Some of my list is virtual console titles, but the bulk of it is a few of the best 3rd party games (because they're in the $10-15 range)
Does anyone here happen to be a Club Nintendo Platinum member with spare Smash Bros Demo codes? I hear that you get 4, but I've been wrong before. PM me if you would be so kind. Thanks!
The demo will be available on the eShop next Friday (19th) for everyone to download. I was lucky enough to snag one of the early demo's, been hooked on it since. Also love how the demo has unlimited uses, unlike normal eShop demo's.
That's the problem with the demo on the eShop. Apparently it still only had 30 uses, only the club nintendo codes are unlimited (or so I've heard). I'm kinda ticked that I didn't get a code considering I've had Platinum status 4 (maybe 5) years in a row haha. If the demo is only 30 uses then that'll suck because I doubt that will last me till October 3 haha
I've heard on Twitter that it's been a slow roll out, so you could still potentially get the codes. But the other thing was that you have to have a registered 3DS. I'd assume you have that, but I don't know for sure.
Just don't exit out of it and its practically unlimited! Also not to brag but the demo is really fun!
I second that having tons of fun with the demo. They really have done a spectacular job making smash for handheld, very happily surprised.
Not just one, but two registered 3DSs. An original bought near launch before the price drop, and the Zelda XL. Oh well though, if I don't get it I'll live haha.
It's only 5 days away anyhoo. And like that guy said, just don't exit out of it So I'm new to club nintendo (only made an account a months ago) and I was wondering whether the gold/platinum status rolls over? Or does your status reset every year after the elite member rewards? Also, I just got Mega Man 2 VC while it was on sale for the Smash bros promotion
The Wii U is certainly tempting, what with Smash, Hyrule Warriors, Mario games, etc. And that Splatoon paintball/squid game looks pretty fun. I probably won't actually ever get one, though. Gold/Platinum status resets every year. So, you have to re-earn it. We have until the end of June, I believe, to reach it. Then you get something (last year it was a free game download for both).
Yes, Splatoon looks extremely fun to me. I was already considering one because of Smash, but seeing Splatoon has started pushing me over the edge. I might wait till Black Friday or something to pick one up, since Smash won't be coming till late November anyway (the leak showing this is pretty convincing) and Splatoon not till 2015. Plus there's loads of cool indie games coming, it's a bit difficult to resist. And thanks, I thought so. So let's say if I get 700 coins one Club Nintendo year, will those extra 100 rollover towards elite status for the next year?
I read a couple forums, and here is what it looks like. You have to earn the points within the one year period to gain Gold/Platinum status. So, to get July 2015-June 2016 Platinum, you have to earn it in July 2014-June 2015. Points roll over for prize redemption (and expire after 2 calendar years), but do not help for Gold/Platinum status over the first 600.
