If you mean that here was no mention of a hardware revision featuring an intergrated circle pad then yes, I think most people 'thought' it may have been announced. As for the circle pad attatchment, there was some info revealed: http://uk.ds.ign.com/articles/119/1194009p1.html
And for those who didn't see the conference, here are the trailers... Kid Icarus Uprising (Nintendo):
Sick man, thanks. I'll be watching all of these later. Very excited for quite a few of these and will be getting the 3DS attachment when it's out. Late 2011 and 2012 look like good times for the 3DS.
There's some great games there. But that circle pad attachment. Not only is it completely wonky (and the controls are now shifted to the right, relative to the screen), but it actually requires a AAA battery! WTF? Why doesn't it have a rechargeable battery and even provide some extra run time for the 3DS???? Crazy.
After watching the videos, I think I'll end up getting every single one of these besides Mario Tennis and Animal Crossing. Also going to pick up SF64 and maybe REM when I can. Can't wait for all of these RPGs to get here for the 3DS. No videos for the new KH game though? Edit: On second thought, I'll probably be skipping out on the Gundam game, Paper Mario, and only be getting one of the Monster Hunter games. Going to pass on REM as well. Will probably pass on the Dynasty Warrior game as well along with Luigi's Mansion 2. We'll see how those turn out first. Kid Icarus, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario Land, Fire Emblem, and at least one of the Monster Hunter games look like must-haves to me though. Oh, I'll probably be getting the SE game as well, of course.
You're going to skip Paper Mario? Are you crazy? Best games ever. No, really, the first two in the series are two of my favorite video games of all time. Perhaps THE favorite.
I agree Paper Mario is awesome. I was looking forward to that announcement. Also, did anyone else love the look of the new Square Enix game Bravely Default? I know it has a pretty stupid name but the graphics and everything seemed very pleasing.
Yeah, Square Enix's title looks awesome. I've actually never played a Paper Mario game before. Looks like I might just have to check it out then since you guys like it. Couldn't really tell what was going from the trailer.
Bet you guys missed that. Looks like Mario's first partner is a crown thing. I was expecting different. I hope these aren't like the terrible pixls.
Well it sort of is, I had the old nintendo rewards account with TONS of points saved, didn't realize they transferred the system and I never moved my account over so I lost everything. Since I'm on the new club nintendo now I've gotten a ton of schwag and hit platinum this year.
I actually might take the plunge on the 3DS because of the new 3rd party announcements. But then I'd have to choose between the 5g iPod and this, because I'm not exactly overflowing with money at the moment...
I would say just get the 5G Ipod. It will benefit you more since you said your tight on cash. Get this maybe next year when they announce the 3ds lite
Lol, after trying out all the other titles from the Ambassador Program, it seems only Mario feels timeless to me. I feel way too young to be playing the other 9 games. I've never been a fan of retro games, even on the iOS. I'm very excited for the GBA titles though, and Mario alone is good enough for me for the NES titles.
IGN's review of the new analog stick attachment: http://ds.ign.com/articles/119/1194645p1.html Looks quite nice! I like the added thickness because it allows a better grip on the system although my extended battery pack is going to have to come off to use it
Finally got SF64 3D for $40, heheh. Probably won't ever buy a used game in my life. Hope it's good! Edit: Sweet game so far; I didn't play any games on the N64 besides SSB, but I'm definitely enjoying the game a good amount after 30 minutes.
Hey guys - just thought I'd drop in here and give a quick hello! We're Nintendo DSi developers - for those handful of you that follow DSiWare, you might know us for "Divergent Shift" and our upcoming RTS, "Amoebattle". We just released our first iOS game on the App Store, "Penguin Patrol" - check it out! (And yes, we're pushing out a DSiWare version as well).
