Say wha- Why didnt anyone inform me of this? This is actually pretty great news. And yeah super smash 64 is an all time classic.
If it was just the PS3 version, it wouldn't have listed the PC and 3DS versions either. But meh, I have nothing against BF3 coming to the 3DS.
Don't get too excited about it -- as of E3, neither new version of Smash Bros. was even in development (they're both several years away, in fact), so at this point Nintendo saying that the Wii U and 3DS versions would be able to talk to each other is just total speculation on their part.
Honestly, give me another Golden Sun and I'll probably get a 3ds. Actually give me another FF remake and I'll get it. Or another SMT, mario kart, pokemon, TWEWY and I'm down.
This may also be your problem. You grew up with nintendo and now you're getting old. So nintendo is targetting the next generation such as my sister. She has a 3ds she bought just for harvest moon and animal crossing both of which arn't even out yet. The only two games she has atm are Nintendogs+cats and LOZ which is mostly played by me. Nintendo can't have you guys as a target audience for the rest of your lives. They go for younger children and as they grow up they go for younger children again. My sister told me that 90% of her class has a 3ds which reminds me of when I was in elementary and 90% of my class had a GBA. Nintendo still makes alot of money and they aren't stumbling at all. Sony and Microsoft have been like this for a couple of years and they are still around. Nintendo is like this for 5 months and everyone goes crazy....this same thing happened to the DS. Just give it a year untill all the Big Popular franchises and JRPGs come out and Nintendo will dominate the market again.
heres you mario kart http://www.gamestop.com/nintendo-3ds/games/mario-kart-3ds/89891?loc=mostanticipated_row5_col2 now you can go buy one
Walmart is gunna lower their prices 3 days early. That means that more people will get to use the Ambassador Program. It's sorta not fair to us early adapters but I don't really care. I've been tryin to get my friends and family to get one so now is a good time to bother them, cuz who doesn't like eighty dollars off plus 20 free games? http://mynintendonews.com/2011/08/07/nintendo-3ds-walmart-to-drop-price-of-the-nintendo-3ds-three-days-early/
There's not much going on right now in terms of third-party support. Unless Nintendo develops it, good luck.
I'm thinking of buying a 3DS, I'm more impressed by the 3D than a mini console Vita. So I'm gonna forgo the Vita and snag a 3DS - AppStore games, have had me longing for a real handheld games lately. I have an iPad 2 for the good visuals, lol. Is the black or teal 3DS better? Which color looks better in person? I never liked Ocarina of Time's visuals. Does it look substantially better in the remake? Which game is the best value of this list: Lego Pirates Ocarina of Time Pilot Wings Splinter Cell (graphics and gameplay combined)
Black looks far better. You're sinning if you have a 3DS and don't get Ocarina of time. It looks incredibly and plays great. Lego Pirates and Super Street Fighter IV for the win, taking second and third after OoT, not necessarily respectively. But yeah, if you were impressed with Lego Star Wars for the 3DS, which I found to be crap after having played the series since the start, you're going to love Lego Pirates. Found SSFIV to be a lot more fun than DoAD. Same here man. Playing my iPod mostly, 3DS sometimes, and the iPad 2 every now and then. The iOS doesn't hit the mark for some categories when it comes to portable games. The 3DS fills in some of those gaps. I'm probably still going to drop for the Vita though. We'll see.
I picked the black 3ds but a blue one is great as well. I actually wish I picked the blue one because up close, it looks awesome. Regarding the game, OoT3D looks 1000x better than the original. It's a must buy. Pilot Wings doesn't have too much content according to some people and I haven't really heard too much good things about Splinter Cell either. Lego Pirates looks good though.
Gamestop is having a deal this weekend where I can trade in a used DSi for a 3ds for only $100. It looks like a good deal, should I do it? At first glance I think it'll be worthwhile since I rarely play my DS anymore and I kind of want to get back into it. Edit: the shoulder buttons on my system don't work. Do you think I'd be able to trade my system without them noticing?
I would really like to sell mine but I would lose SO much on the deal in such a short amount of time it's a really tough choice.
I'd definitely go for it for only 70 dollars. Splinter Cell looks horrid and reviews say it's crap too. I have SF:IV (SO FUN! Online is flawless compared to the iOS one) and the other Tom Clancy game, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars. It's an amazing RTS that's worth getting.
i been a employee there...and its a roll of dice for the L and R buttons...most just turn it on...to make sure it runs...but they will at least take it for a reduced rate toward you...and thats how i got my 3ds traded my dsi-xl (only a year old) and 100 bucks btw the dsi was loaded with dsiware too...i miss that bugger....big mistake...now i use my dslite cause ds roms suck on a 3ds IMO...dont look the same... and guys i hate to say it but the vita is gonna kick our azz....in a good way
I'm looking forward to the vita a lot more, I'm only interested in the 3ds because of the price. I'll try and trade my old system in, if I can then I'll be a new 3ds owner, if not then Oh well.
Ghost Recon is a Turn Based Tactics game, not an RTS. And, frankly, it's just alright -- it looks great compared to the crappy launch line up, but the AI is dumb as bricks and the "story" is kind of laughable. Tactical Soldier: Undead Rising on iOS is a better (albeit shorter) game.
Splinter Cell is not horrid. It's one of the best games on the system. The bad reviews are the direct result of console envy. If it's not as good as the 360 or the Ps3 Splinter Cell games, then it must suck. Read the reviews. Every single reviewer is angry because Splinter Cell 3D is not Splinter Cell Conviction. Oh well. Their lost. It's a damn good handheld game; the key word being HANDHELD. Provided that you haven't already played the crap out of the original, since it is a port. I can't get into any of Nintendo's first-party games. As I suspected from the beginning. I bought Zelda but could not get into it at all. It's fairly bland and ordinary to me. A few hours in and I'm pretty much done. I don't get it and I never will. I'll never understand the appeal of games developed by Nintendo. Just like I'll never understand the appeal of RTS games, or Turned-based tactics games for that matter. Oh well. The PS-Vita is going to eat the 3DS's lunch anyway.
