Well I've been on TA for a while now. Unless you're referring to my condition, in which thanks, because I am sick currently. And good to see you to Brian.

Ghost recon is quite good! one of the better release titles. I know many of you may combat with "ohz grapikz sukz" but thats because it was orginally a planned DS release and was reformated to be able utilize the 3d effect which I may say is quite spectacular on Ghost recon and Street Fighter IV

Good to know that people are really digging Ghost Recon. It definitely looks like an OG DS game, but what matters is the gameplay, and seems that there's lot to love there.

I'll give it at least another year and wait for the inevitable price drop and/or 3DS Lite. The 3D effect really doesn't appeal to me since I played it for 10 minutes and got a headache that lasted for more than an hour. Ocarina of Time will be pretty cool but I'd imagine the thing that will really push me to go out and get one will be the Generation VI Pokemon game and I don't think we'll be seeing that for a long time.

Majority of people getting headaches are doin it wrong. You really have to adjust the 3D slider to suit your eyes, if not you'll get the headaches. I keep my slider right in middle, haven't had a single headache. But the moment I deviate from my preferred slider position. Bam. Headache city. The only way you should be getting headaches from this is if you get headaches from everything 3D. If avatar gave you a headache then you can't be helped. BUT if 3D doesn't normally give you a headache, then you have not adjusted the 3DS for your eyes properly.

I wouldn't know because I haven't seen a 3D movie since they started doing 3D in the last few years.

Rented PES 11 3d today from Lovefilm and must say its really bad so dont spend £40 on it, Ghost Recon is by far best game ive been on it practically all day.

Rumour is Resident Evil Mercs is out 6th June so fingers crossed

I disagree but I'm curious as to what you find wrong with it?

Pilotwings is also an excellent game. Very, VERY nice graphics and 3D effects. Good, polished gameplay.

I also have SSFIV, but I regret spending 40 euro's on it (about 30 pounds), it's not worth the money. It is a quite good game, fun to play online, but lacks a good introduction, it's hard to get into for someone who has never played Street Fighter (like me). It also doesn't have a campaign or something like that. I think 20-30 euro's would be fair. It also feels less polished than Pilotwings. The gameplay is OK, but the menu's and stuff just don't feel right.

I have one. I also have an iPod (old one, never use it since I have an Android phone), and an iPad. When my iPod was still the latest, I played many games on it, but not one of them has beaten Pilotwings or SSFIV on my 3DS. Pilotwings is a unique experience, played it for 8 hours now. SSFIV is quite good, 3D looks incredible, played it for about 4 hours. Street Fighter is worse than Pilotwings though.

Both of the games look so much better than every game I've ever played on my iPad or iPhone. I have played Galaxy on Fire 2, Death Space, Infinity Blade, even played Infinity Blade on an iPad 2. They just don't beat the 3DS. The 3D looks really unbelievable in both games.

Pilotwings doesn't have very fancy models, but the textures and effects are great. For example, there light effects are really nice, in the volcano for example. You can also see the hot air in the volcano, I've never seen that before on a handheld.

In SSFIV you have very nice models, shadows, and stunning effects (Fire Balls and that kind of stuff).

Pilot wings is too casual. I bought a dedicated handheld gaming machine to get away from casual gaming. Alas, I realize that a certain amount of casual gaming for the 3DS is obviously inevitable. Just don't expect me to want to have anything to do with it. Plus, casual games often aren't worth $40, in my opinion. Besides, the App Store is littered with an endless array of casual 0.99c games.

The 3 genres that I hate beyond the scope of ever wanting to play them under any circumstances. 1)RTS, 2)Stealth, 3)Platformer. Tom Clancy seems like a good game for the genre that it represents, but I'd rather jam a pencil into my eye then have anything to do with that particular genre.

And fighting games for me just aren't going to happen. It's not that I fundimentally dislike them. But I am a complete noob. I never took the time to master or even really learn this genre of game. I think it was the memorizing mult-button/combo moves thing that turned me off. Forced memorization brings back unpleasant memories of school.

That's just my way of saying that this launch day release list is limited for me, which sucks. Half the games on this list, there's no way I'd ever play them. Street Fighter IV is the biggest draw here, and it does absolutely nothing for me.

I actually picked up PES today on the recommendation from a few people and I must say that I'm loving it. I've always been a FIFA guy but so far I'm actually really sucked into PES. It looks great, even without the 3D, and the controls are spot on.

Lol I love street fighter on my 360 for the complete reason of having my friend over and completly smashing every button on the controller at the same time to see the outcome lol. And i agree the launch titles are a little crappy.... once june hits with mario 3d legend of zelda orcarina of time(its supposed to have master quest too ^^) and star fox this thing is going to be praised:D

I've been playing Samurai Warriors and Ghost Recon pretty much every spare minute since I got my machine on Friday. Got RidgeRacer, Nintendogs and PilotWings too.

PilotWings is pretty neat, but way too short. Nintendogs is for my wife, so I haven't played it, but it looks cute. Ridge Racer is really quite poor in the 3D dept. It's also very drift heavy - more so than other RR games.

The 3DS itself is a pretty nice machine though, very comfy and the screen and controls are superb. The software line-up at launch is pretty ropey on the whole, but launch titles always are. A promising start to Nintendo's new baby.

Shame about the price of the games though.

Here's a review of the Nyko battery life. With max setting on everything (3d, WiFi, Brightness), they got 6 hours of life. Their recommendation: buy.

Seems like a nice alternative for those who really have a problem with battery life, and it's pretty cheap ($20)
