I feel sorry for Azrael. It must be hard only owning an iDevice, and convinving oneself that it's superior to other platforms in any possible way. Oh well, dude just got added to my ignore list, and I recommend others to do the same if they don't want to read moronic posts. ;)

Yeah I am so excited, it's coming out this month!!! I preordered awhile ago from amazon and it included free shipping, so no taxes or shipping, $249.99 out the door, or box, however you look at it.

I'm getting street fighter day one, but I am not sure what else to get. I want to get at least one other game but the launch line up is rather tepid. Maybe ghost recon?

I agree that the controls on the DS and the PSP are inadequate for FPS games; I just feel that the iDevices are in the same boat. Of course, I'm attached to the consoles rather than the PC, so the swiping motion being like using a mouse does nothing for me; I'm used to analog sticks for aiming.

    Just my opinion.

EDIT: Even as I say this, I look at the Rainbow Six trailer on the front page and I get excited. I really like how they went with the awesome art style instead of trying to make it completely realistic, and the controls don't look too difficult.

Just because you suck in something doesn't mean its atrocious. Your stupidity is quite amusing.

And your attempt at humor to baby talk is already old. How many times did you resort to such giberish. I am flattered that you are stalking me.

Ooh someone sounds like they just discovered some big words. Gibberish, flattered, what's next, stupidity?

Let's try to keep the personal attacks to a minimum, pal. No one is impressed.

After seeing the Pocketgamer article about unboxing the 3DS, I'm getting tempted to go on Amazon to order it right now.

Nah, skip Ghost Recon. It's a crappy effort that should be an iOS game, not a $40 game.

Pilotwings seems to be getting pretty good responses, so that would be good option if you are into games like that.

Yeah, it looks like they could've done a better job with Ghost Recon on 3DS. But then again, it's a launch game and developers are just getting comfortable learning the programming tools for the hardware. Ghost Recon doesn't look all that bad though; just something that's totally not going to hold up against the competition when really awesome games start dropping.

The real killer app of this thing will be Zelda Ocarina of Time 3DS. All impressions I've seen have been overwhelmingly positive. Seems that people love the 3D, and the notable visual and performance upgrades will make of it the definitive version of this masterpiece. Add to this the fact that it comes with Master Quest and you have a game that will last you a good 50 hours at the very least. That's quality gaming right there. ;)

Kids Icarus is something that I'm really anticipating also. It looks incredibly good visually, and it's like a mix of Star Fox and Sin and Punishment; games that I really like.

You realize that using the word atrocious and questioning people's sanity is not really an argument, right? Or perhaps I've been giving you too much credit.

BTW, I picked Dementium on the recommendation of a few folks on this forum, and I'm sad to say that I wasted 15 bucks. The best way I can describe the controls is a ball of awkwardness -- aiming with a stylus is for the birds. Without a second analog stick, I don't expect that FPS will play any better on the 3DS.

But you're right: the Ocarina of Time remake is the 3DS's killer app (so far). I don't give rat's ass about the 3D, but the graphical update looks great.

Mmm...as an avid DS player, I personally would've recommended the second one but seeing how you didn't like the first... True indeed, the DS (and PSP's one analog for that matter) stylus/touchscreen combo isn't the most efficient shooter setup but I think Renegade Kid (Dementium dev) found a "sweet spot" with II as it controls the best out of all the DS shooters IMO, even if a slight bit better than Metroid Prime Hunters. I've learned to "tolerate" the setup for MP Hunters and Dementium II, and even Call of Duty: World at War (I don't know why but World at War on DS seems to control the best out of all the other CoD DS iterations).

Yeah, I'm pumped. I actually had it for the DS but got sidetracked by school. Sold my DS copy for more than I originally paid for it and I'm gonna pick up the shiny fancy new version in July! :D

Between that and Catherine, it's like Atlus is personally wishing me a happy birthday. :)

Haha, now it's your time to redeem yourself! Devil Survivor is the perfect summer game. It's long, it has an incredible story with compelling characters, and a deep combat system.

The newly added voice acting also sounds pretty solid so far, and can't wait to see what the new chapter is about (should be the epilogue or something like that for the true Devil Survivor sequel)

Overclocked definitely looks like the definitive version of Devil Survivor to have. I've never played it before but everyone says how great and fantastic it is. I played Strange Journey and love it so I'll probably like Survivor too. Everyone says it's hard and challenging which is totally fine w/me. I'm not saying I would've never tried it but had the Shin Megami Tensei series never came to a Nintendo platform, it probably would've been a looooooooooooooong time before I ever tried a MegaTen game (if ever). They just never appealed to me on the PS2. Don't know why...I'm not an RPG fanatic or anything but I do like them.

Devil Survivor is the game that made me fan of the Shin Megami Tensei series. The settings of the games are so much more interesting than pretty much any other RPG series, and the stories are more adult and compelling.

If you played Strange Journey, you are ready for Overclocked. It's not as hard as SJ, and it has a more streamlined gameplay experience. Out of the 40 hours it may take you to beat Devil Survivor, probably 38 are based on pure, raw demon battling instead of dungeon crawling like other Megaten games.

Better yet, Atlus also announced that Persona and other SMT are coming to the 3DS. :D

Is there something wrong w/the thread or is it my computer? I keep trying to go to the next page 27 and it won't let me. I'm on my cell phone now n its the same thing so perhaps it's an issue w/the thread?

    UPDATE:
Guess the thread was just waiting for another post to make it to page 27. Nevermind.
