no...when you get better you do the first 500m in what seems like under a minute. it's fun. the better you are the faster you go. it's a little boring at FIRST... QUESTION: in the awards it says "TRIGGER 20 fireballs in a game"...OK...so you trigger the fireballs...then how do I *not* trigger them!? past 1k the game starts throwing fireballs, weird light creatures, different obstacles etc. at you all at once...my 5-time record is around ~1100. no fireballs would be great.
I agree 100%. Always get to 1200ish and then die because I'm doing everything at the same pace as the first 1000. I've put in 5 hours and my top height is 1732 For me this game would be 5 stars if it had checkpoints and if the music wasn't so buggy. The music only ever stays on for the first five minutes and then it goes silent
Just as a rumour . . . And I personally don't like the idea of checkpoints . . . Doodle Jump doesn't have checkpoints and it doesn't feel tedious. The game is about not getting impatient at the beginning.
This game is great. And yeah, checkpoints are a terrible idea. It just goes against the entire point of the game.
http://twitter.com/VenanEnt/status/15427459255 "Quick update - our first #Ninjatown Trees of Doom update is submitted and should be available very soon! And that's just the beginning " AWESOME
so once you get to 1,000, you will always start there if you want? Ha people are gonna get some huge scores now
Yeah I dislike that too, it should only be used once or twice then you would have to get to 1000 regularly again...
I agree. I think getting to 1,000 should only let you go back there a few times. But everytime? That makes it wayyy too easy.
I wonder if the people complaining about how easy this will make it have ever been past 1500 or so... Once you get close to 2k meters the challenge ratchets up a lot, and being able to skip over the incredibly easy and tedious (by comparison) first 1000 meters will make the game much more compelling for those who want that challenge. EDIT: TLDR - This doesn't make it easier, just less tedious for those who regularly make it to high altitudes. EDITx2: I just realized that this sounds pretty elitist. I really don't mean it this way. Ninjatown has a very nice difficulty curve, and as you become accustomed to it you progress further and further, to the point where what you once thought was quite tricky suddenly seems fairly mundane. I don't mean to sneer at the people who haven't made it past the first night in the tree, I'm just pointing out that if you regularly make it fairly high up the tree, the first 1000 meters feel absurdly easy by comparison.
+1 People are complaining about how easy the bomb will make things... but the difficulty of the first 1000m is way lower than what it used to be. Before the update I could rarely break 600m now I get to 1000m easily. I don't HAVE to use the bomb but when I want a challenge it's there to get me to the harder sections. It's a great feature because new elements like Night and Volcano explosions are added once you get that high. If I had to do the easy distance every single time I wouldn't enjoy the game nearly as much.
I just haven't liked this game much. I think Venan are great and I love Space Miner. I'm d/l the update and hopefully it will spur me into playing more.
1. This game is much more playable now I don't have to play the tedious first 1000m over and over. 2. The orange outfit owns.
