Grrr... I promised myself not to buy this because it's not the REAL Ninjatown (TD), but for 99 cents I broke down. Hope I like it. Furthermore, I hope the TD game gets ported someday as well. It was brilliant on DS.
i just needed a reason to get this game, and the sale was perfect. damn, already downed over an hour of life! so awesome.
I also got it earlier and can't stop playing ... very addictive game!!! I hope for future updates with more enemies, power ups, obstacles, backgrounds ... etc Must buy game for this price!
Apart from the home screen icon naming (would've prefered Ninjatown instead of TreesOfDoom), this game is great!
Are we ever going to get updates that allow us to start from checkpoints (such as 500, 1000, 1500, etc)? It's kinda boring starting from 0 every time.
Yeah I am on the fence about this as well. On the one hand it would be great to start from higher up. I am not sure of any of these kinds of games that allow you to begin at checkpoints (but haven't played all of them) so this would separate this game from the rest of its kind. On the other that takes away the randomization that occurs straight from the start of each game, takes away any high score of height that you might have, takes away from the stats you earn, just plain old takes away from what the game was designed to be, in my opinion. Sure we all want to get to the tippity top but I would rather do it as the game was designed. Maybe another mode can be added that allows x number of continues or something along those lines. This can be the endless mode and allow us to start over. I like to see the variability in each game I play and the combinations of obstacles and enemies. I enjoy the challenge and the unforgiving nature of the game play. The randomness of the game is its beauty. (maybe I am not as much on the fence as I thought)
I don't really think I want checkpoints... Unless they have a separate leaderboard I guess, with a different mode all together.
I think, this game is way cooler than another TD. Way more charming and fitting better to the charism of the characters. I don't want checkpoints, but different difficulty levels would be a way...
