BrightRidge Android Update A lot of movement on BrightRidge and Vandgels today. I'm making another attempt to getthe game on Android. I'm documenting my attempt to upload it to the playstore as it happens here: https://forum.unity3d.com/threads/nimian-legends-brightridge-android-version-please-help.456083/ I've also been testing BrightRidge 6.1 on an Android Nexus 5 and it's running great. It looks like all the filter bugs in the last build are fixed. I'll need to play through it to make sure it's ik, but i am going to put it up as an open beta anyways (if i get it on the store)
BrightRidge Android Open Beta Hi everyone. BrightRidge is in open beta and im looking for feedback. The Beta is already out of date and there are still quite a few effects not working, and i think the frame rate slows down over time (anyone see this?) but i am fixing bugs and mainly i want to know if this even works? Thanks Nullzone - will do, but i might have to unpublish it for a momemt - it says only beta testers can see it, but whe i search the play store it shows up and i dont want anyone to buy it before its finished. I sent a message to Google and am waiting for a response. I also tried to make it free in case it IS available, but there was a warning that i cant change this back later. I have to admit i feel really lost inside Google Play Anyways i will keep everyone posted and try to figure out what is happening here first.
I removed the link for now and my tweet. I double checked and making it free is permanent, and i dont know if unpublishing it will ruin the app. More as soon as I hear from google
I unpublished it "Your application has been unpublished. It can take several hours until it is removed completely from Google Play." Man I'm finding this so hard I just didnt want to take the chance, even if it means more work - people were so angry when i made BrightRidge HD - i just dont think my heart can take angry feedback right now. Hopefully no one has 'bought' it - when i hear back from google i will take anther stab at figuring out the beta.

First impressions this game is gorgeous on my iPad Pro 9.7 ! Love you get to explore & there's a story mode! All I can ask for is please fix the settings ! They don't stick when you get it all fine tuned and then leave the app it resets the details .. Also maybe save slots not sure I understand how saving works between the story and explore modes
Thanks shining jade (i like your user name The story mode was added in version 3. Originally you could only explore, get new powers etc. So many people asked for a storyline, and i wanted to put one in because it's kind of a great way to "guide" you through BrightRidge. In the latest update 6 i rebuilt the storymode engine so i can create new stories easier, and added the second adventure Love & Tin. I hope you like them Yes to the sticky settings - ive been slowly adding more that stick (button position etc) up[date by update. The hardest ones are the quality, mostly because unlike on a console that is always the same, you could potentially pick a quality setting that's higher than what your device supports and crashes it, and then when you come back it would load the same setting and crash it. So far the best solution to that is to automatically have each device start in the highest quality available - im finding friends with IOS devices and am working on doing that for version 8. The saving is encapsulated within each adventure. So you can go through one story half way through, then switch to another - basically no matter what adventure you choose you will always continue where you left off. The new adventure engine update also lets me separate checkpoints from chapters (in the ballad of brightridge a chapter could have been like walking over there or something simple) so love and Tin has less chapters, but more save points. The only thing that is shared across everything is cheats. If you activate cheats then everything is unlocked everywhere until you reset the game in the options. I'm glad you tried BrightRidge and if you like it and feel like it, a review will help others discover the game. I'm going to leave it free for a little bit and i hoe it gives many people the opportunity to try it
Yea my iPad Pro 9.7 2GB ram defaults at Low.. But I run all settings on Ultra with contrast, sharpen, antialiasing this Devices handles it fine high settings Love what you have done, I have never heard of this game till today &I have spread the word to my family / friends & social accounts .. Hope to see more updates to come, this game is fun ! I like the story so far. The first person mode seems to be a little finicky to use (moves more slower..) The camera controls are a tad finicky as well kinda wish we could map where the attack / jump and look around buttons go .. Otherwise thank you for this !! Thanks I think of my name as unique ^-^ and branch off of that in a way for different accounts easier for the Devs to find me like in the AppStore im Jadenfire
Unique is good Keep thinking that way. This is so helpful. I have special folder for fan feedback and ive added in your notes. It's the best at steering me towards real world game problems to fix. Thanks for sharing BrightRidge with family and friends. The game can use the exposure. Yeah, i actually was thinking the other day that the running felt slow, like did i accidentally slow them down between versions? You know, i like it when players can run faster anyways - brightridge is about freedom (look how high you can jump and im going to speed up their default run across the board. Nothing wrong with getting from place to place with energy. kinda wish we could map where the attack / jump and look around buttons go .. You can - you can drag the buttons anywhere you want on the screen anytime. Its actually one of teh few settings the game remembers, so when you come bak they'll be in the same place. And you can lock them in position in Options > Settings > Interface. You can also do things like invert the joysticks etc. If you have any feedback about how i can make the camera better specifically please let me know. Id like to improve it in general - you play a game like super mario galaxy (an oldie but goodie) and their camera never gets in the way - is like to be like that. And i am working on 2 more updates for BrightRidge to add polish, and then a new world - the icy mountains of the deeply devout nation of Tiviscus, and its towering ruling Citadel Vandgels. EDIT: forgot to mention i feel your ipad pro pain - i have an iphone 6 so it starts on low and i leave it on low. But for faster devices like yours yeah you have to pump it up every time. Ill make it a priority to fix this either with sticky settings, quality 1 touch presets, and/or automatic high quality on your device.
