Then here's a tip for you: You don't like pixel art. This game features pixel art. You're supposed to see the pixels. Same goes for Tiny Tower and Pocket Planes.
Utterly baffled to see NimbleBit pull a Zynga and "adapt" a smaller developer's game. Good thing it's free though - I'll pick it up to see whether it's more than just a clone of Call of Snake.
It doesn't seem to have iCloud support for syncing devices. No iCloud toggle in the options. I started a gameon my iPad, relogged to GC. Doesnt't load my iPhone save. It's odd, as it worked ok in Pocket Planes. So what about the arena? If I play on both devices with the same GC for the same guild? About the arena, does it take the 100 best scores from the best 100 players of a guild? or the best 100 scores overall including multiple score from the same members?
That crossed my mind too. It's strange considering they were openly vocal about what Zynga did. I haven't played Call of Snakes though, so I don't know how closely this game matches up.
looks very nice and smooth on iPad 3. Damn I forgot how you don't ever do a sharp U turn in Snake lol. I killed half my mob at once
do character levels only affect the leader, or will you have a really powerful team if you upgrade each character you pick up?
Well. Not sure how I feel on this game. Part of me really wants to love it, but something is holding me back... I think I need to give it some more time before I fully weigh in.
Are the devs on here? Had an app freeze, then crash at the share hero screen. After courtyard one, clicked the Facebook icon then stuck on the GUI overlay, did not get as far as launching a fb panel
I think they affect everyone since when you level up a character he gets a few new details on his armor and those details are still there even is you are using another hero
I think how it works is that only your lead character gets experience while playing a game, but then if they level up they retain that level's bonus even when not in the lead.
I played call of snake and this pretty close to being the same. But they've expanded on the idea and gave it some nimblebit polish. I'd compare it to pandemic and plague inc like the same but better.
If this green bar under the character is full, does he automatically level up, or do I still have to pay for that?
I have to say: I was not feeling this after playing the pc demo, butt now that I've given it a 2bd chance on the iPhone I'm really loving it. Super fun
Strange, I'm quite shocked to see that much IAP hate in here, since I am one of the biggest IAP haters (F**k you, Real Racing 3) but this game is so super fun and you never feel forced or even annoyed to buy anything. I'm playing hour after hour and I'm getting constantly gold coins and enough crystals to upgrade my stats.... one of the best freemium models in the store, if you ask me.
So yeah, this game is a ton of fun. Polished, fast paced, gratifying, etc. I want to throw some money at Nimblebit, but I'm a little hesitant in terms of picking the IAP to buy. Not a fan of shelling out for consumables, so gem packs are off the table. But I'm also wary that unlocking a character early might break the challenge somewhat, and that the x10 gem IAP would be too overpowered (since collecting gems during the game does heal you, I just checked). Not to mention making purchasing upgrades a tad too easy. So, if anyone here's gotten some IAP, which option is the least game-breaking? Thanks!
