Wow that's great, you should try #1 guild, currently is TA, with that high score you would be on top 10 at least and get 40 tokens. I scored 384 and luckily ranked #30 so I also got 40 tokens Well your tip sure is reasonable. Stay close to the corner walls so the enemies will only attack from one side, not both sides. And your attacks will not split and focused to that one side so you'll kill the enemies quickly. If I may add to the tips, don't just walk in a straight line, it will leave your snake line vulnerable for the enemies to bump into. So do a zig zag pattern so it will keep your snake line short and compact so the enemies won't easily bump into your snake line. By doing so, your hero who attack straight like Bolas, Boomey, Merida, and Kishi can attack towards the centre of arena. The sad thing is Gizmo's explosion on death will only clear half of the screen because you're only walk near the corners. And in this case I think the swiftness buff won't be needed, just use the attack and vitality buff. I'm experimenting doing this on quest and I've managed to got into Depths 2 without buffs. I'll try it on the next arena.
Maybe I'm a little late to the game with this comment but... I liked the game just fine until I hit the obvious pay wall. I cannot pass the first level inside the castle, I think it's Level 7 overall. I've used my coins to buy every power up and still can't pass it. I could pass all the previous levels without too much trouble. And I'm not going to spend the thousands upon thousands of crystals to level up all my heroes instantly. I liked the game just fine until that point. Sorry, but I won't be playing this game anymore. Not worth my time.
Huh? Too hard? Bro, u just having a bad Day. Try again later... Castle 1 is tough but not that impossible New update hurah. Easier lv3 OMG, nifty just 40k gem
Ahh so much easier with less needed to upgrade 3rd star now I can maybe (and finally) get more 3 star people and post better run scores I am in TA1 sitting in 14th atm I think
So usually I don't post replays or anything, but I just had to. I started depths with pretty much no heroes and I ended up doubling my hero count, I don't know if it seems that great to you guys, but I for one am proud of it Do enjoy https://everyplay.com/videos/87392
Honestly, I see no paywall in Nimble Quest. One can argue that the red gem upgrade can make the game easier as the red gems heal the main hero 10x as much as green gems, but as long as you play skillfully it isn't really necessary.
Castle 1 is the fifth level. The seventh level which is Depths 1 is far more difficult, even if you already have full upgraded items and unlocked all 1star heroes. And further levels like Graveyard 2, Courtyard 2, Castle 2, Depths 2 will still quite difficult even if you already have all 2stars heroes. The buffs are pretty helpful though. So it's up to you to stop playing if you feel it's not worth it. Some of people here in this thread also quit because they found this game has no goal, no achievement, and still doesn't have any satisfactory updates. But for me, I like challenges like this and even want to beat it more when others say it's difficult. IAP won't be needed. Killing spare times while having fun. 2-4hours a day at most. Simple, enjoyable, addictive game but not too time consuming like RPGs. I still like playing Brick Break, Chess, word games, so Nimble Quest kinda fit for me. May I know which game you feel worth it to play?
I don't think you can call that a "paywall". It is a difficulty curve spike. You need to upgrade a few of your heroes to level 2, and basically get more adept at playing. I remember being similarly angry when I just couldn't pass Courtyard (I had had a smooth run right up till that level). Took me a couple of days practice, but I overcame it finally.
It's quite possible that I just suck at the game, lol... IMO it was a huge difficulty leap from the previous level. I feel like I lasted quite a long time, but when I looked at the progress bar at the top of the screen I saw the level was only half over. My HP is usually 3/4 gone by then, so that's right around when I die. I have several 2 star heroes and I used all the coin upgrades for that level, still no dice.
I guess I just have a hard time with games that ramp up the difficulty so drastically from one level to the next. I felt this way with Kingdom Rush. It's been a while since I've played it so I don't remember the exact level, I just know I also hit a pretty big difficulty spike. I went back to easier levels to get more money to upgrade my units, but I still couldn't beat it. An example of a game that I feel does well in gradually increasing the difficulty is Plants vs. Zombies. Some of the pool levels and rooftop levels I had to replay several times, but I still felt like, although I lost, if I just pushed a bit harder next time, I could win. In NimbleQuest and Kingdom Rush, I feel so far off from being able to win that I just end up not wanting to play anymore.
Kingdom rush... My fav Its super challenging at the beggining when u have not too many star.. Later when u DO have enough star, it still kick your butt. Haha. Hard mode= hardcore
I like Plant vs Zombies too. Especially the survival mode, done about 450 waves if I recall.. Anyway, just take your time, today you don't wanna play NQ but maybe few days later you'll feel like try beating the levels. Luck's also count. Try different strategy or hero. Better have Boomey and Gizmo at 2stars. If you're facing health problems, use vitality and shield buffs or use high armoured hero like Ulrich or Uther as a lead hero. Prefer get the blue gems for better healing. While still stuck at quest levels, try Arena to earn some tokens as reward. Well, good luck!
Here's a tip that helped me progress my stuck level early on. I poured all my gems into upgrading the Bomb, Ice and Health potion in the Shop section.
Great advice. I'll add : watch some replays for levels you can't beat! It took me a while to understand than you had to sneak up behind the knights in courtyard, And in Depths it's way better to stay close to the walls. Each enemy is different, you have to adapt your strategy, use a different lead guy, buffs, upgrades, star upgrade some heros... This is a real game with hidden depth into it. And you'll need skills/training at some point But you got to know that the difficulty curve remains in the game. I find it pretty gratifying, but if you're not game for it, it's better to play sthg else than feeling frustrated I guess. I'm still stuck at depths 2, but with the new price for 3 stars, I'm hoping to get past it soon
Same here with Depths 2 but I'm not too fussed until another new character comes out - would rather beat it when there's a reward at the end of it! How's everyone doing on the 3 star front? Got my 6th earlier today! Helps a lot more than you realise at first when you start reaching the latter stages. I rarely fail to reach at least Courtyard 2 on each run now!
Just noticed the latest update. MASSIVELY disappointed. Why reduce the amount of coins required for a 3 star by so many!? I'll have completed the game in a matter of a couple of days now!
She's my first 3 stars (I play maybe once a day and try to amass tokens in the arena in TA1 or TA2 mostly) I notice that the freeze when opening the app disappeared with the update
Lol people call the upgrade cost "obvious paywall", then after the devs lower the "wall" there are folks disappointed by the cheap price. One thing I'm certain after all these is that you can never satisfy players, NEVAH!
I have mixed feelings about the reduction myself. I can see how it makes things too easy for heavy players. But those players are probably in the small minority.
