Just to add to this discussion... This level of grinding is absolute BULL. The red gems don't make so much as a dent in your insane endless runs towards trying to three star anyone. They are FORCING people to buy the last few heroes.

These devs have lost my respect with this nonsense. They have taken the concept of IAP and turned it into CANCER.

Nah, you just suck at this game. Like, yeah. I unlock everyone, got 2 guys to lv3, lots of others to lv2 without spending a penny. Not saying I'm proud of being a cheapstake, but I'm surprised people keep calling Nimblebit "scummy" and the IAP in this game "cancer". I don't even see the need for making IAP.

Just FYI, Nimblebit's games are designed for players to "grind" endlessly with pleasure. You keep building more expensive floors in Tiny Tower, buying more expensive Planes in Pocket Planes, trading rarer frogs in Pocket Frogs.

I guess, when you put it that way, it's not a coincidence that I didn't play any of them.

I got the Red gem after probably 5 days of owning this game. By then I had already unlocked all but the last 2 characters. The Red gem eventually helped me to upgrade everyone to level 2, and yesterday I unlocked both Hydra and Bolas in one go.

You're right about the 3 star grind though. I'm still nowhere close to upgrading my first guy to level 3. Probably because I play this for no more than 10 minutes every other day. But is it so necessary to have level 3s to enjoy this game?

whackest thing happened to me today. so i got to depths 2 and beat it (like a boss) for the first time. i pause the game after the last kill. come back later and i see its in the preparation menu before the game starts. JFNIJDSBFKJSDDAKWJNDLKJS. so i had to replay it and i ended up failing to beat it. sucks.

and whoever is in guild arcane, HOW THE F%@K DID U GET 1558 KILLS?

If the game is fun, which this is a hell of a lot of fun, it's not really a grind. Feel free to buy your way to three stars, while you do that I'll be busy trying to beat my high score and having fun doing it.

There are a ton of other games out there that take IAP to whole new level, this is not one of them.

Thanks for the replies and input on this. I hadn't played Arcane in awhile and forgot how bad her aim is, so she drops on my list of 3-stars to get. I chose Faenel as my first 3-star. The root is definitely nice. I had underestimated that. Based on that I'm working on Hydra for my 2nd 3-star.

But, at 3 stars, Arcane is like a flamethrower. (And Arcane has a beard, I'm pretty sure that makes him male.) He might not be able to aim, but in the later levels, he's sure to hit something.

Any word from devs on a fix for those of us with hundreds of GC pals?

I don't know if this would make the game too easy bu I feel like the small health boost you get from gems should go to the next hero if you're front is at full health, and so on moving down your snake of heroes.

It would indeed make NQ an awfully lot easier. A chest would equal a mini health potion.

Totally disagree with this. With the red gems, and 5 already upgraded to 3 star, i'm making about 10k gems per run + around 1K+ kills - essentially putting a 12k dent into the hero you've used to upgrade. Just over 8 runs per character at that rate basically upgrades them. That's probably around 2 hours solid gameplay - and it gets easier each character!

On a separate note - I think they need to REDUCE the amount of coins you get. On these runs i'm doing, i'm able to have all 4 boost in-game, and i'm easily making more than those 4 back again in the runs. Got about 170 now

What a great, addictive game, BUT the way they are milking players disgusts me totally!!

I have just bought RED GEMS for 4,5€ a couple of days ago. Since then I did not get even one "watch a video for free token" offer. Not one! Before that I got around 5 a day. Now, after spending money on this, I get no offers.

Also, what about this Arena crap there? I was always able to play it for 1 token. Now I have to unlock the 2nd from last Hero!! I have 3 between my highest Hero and the one I need to enter the Arena. Pay another 2€ or what?? No Arena until I do??

Man, I am seriously pissed and regret that I spent the money, as I did that out of SUPPORT reasons, not because I needed frikkin red gems... Now after supporting I get ripped. Damn it..!

The arena gives you a different hero every time - so basically you have to miss that 'event' and wait for the next one!

As for tokens - as my previous post states - I find that they are ridiculously common on long runs!

I agree with you. I haven't bought the red gems and I just unlocked my 2nd 3 star. I routinely get 3K+ gems per run. The change they did recently where you get a magnet at the end of each level also helps a lot. People whine too much. It's fine.

    Math

Is there already some leaked (or unleaked) information like armor numbers, damage (p. sec.), ...?

    That would be really interesting!

Right decision. Well, still I suggest you to have Arcane as your third 3stars hero. If not, then raise Kishi or Ember. Others won't give any big difference. And if you don't want Gizmo 3stars, it's still okay because his damage impact blast is already great. IMO even if Gizmo is still at 2stars, he is one of the most contributing hero when on attack speed boost mode.

    Hi all,

I just got 498 in the Arena, in #Toucharcade1. Granted, I have a lot of 3-star players, but this tip will help everybody:

The secret to high scores and high survivability once things get really crazy with all the enemies is to walk in a square pattern while staying near one of the map's four corners, breaking the square only when you spot a new character or boost to grab (like a bomb). I find this helps you go from the 200s to the 400s fairly consistently.

    Let's keep smashing it!
