I have been playing this game non stop since release and quite frankly will not ever delete it from my phone.

To me, a South African having to spend R50.00 on the red gem, think its justified.

This is a great game :)

You know what, first of all I don't see ANY paywall here. You can play this game forever (actually, any freemiums from Nimblebit can be played enjoyably forever without making IAP). It just takes longer to level up your heroes, but you can definitely make progress just fine without spending a penny. No timers, no annoying ads, no stamina gimmicks whatsoever. Tokens can always be earned through the arena, though the amount does fluctuate.

Second, you call the red gem IAP "way too costly", howver prior to that "a little too pricey". Pardon me if I sound far-fetched, but this shows that you don't actually think it's "an insult" and still accept the price tag to an extent. Therefore I assume it's safe to say at the moment it's not the most cancerous form of IAP.

Now can we get back to discussing actual gameplay?

lol my "bad situation" is usually a snake shorter than 5 heroes, so it's a bit hard to bump into my own body to begin with =)

Would love a rare, random black gem that would allow one to level up a character! Would rock

If it's really that bad, the enemies will run into him for you. How nice! :D really reliable hero even when he dies.. Well the name boomey actually fits for gizmo who does a lot of 'boom'-ing. Or should we call him bombey instead? :D

I find Boomey to be a bad one amongst the projectile throwers. His bullets go on the worst trajectories imaginable. I guess it's fitting, given that he's supposed to be a drunk pirate.

Amongst the whole pre-Gizmo bunch, I find Blaze to be the only useful one.

Is this game now broken after the update for anyone else? Doesn't work now on iphone 5. Freezes on start screen after it loads up everytime.

Great, I just came by to see if the update made the game any more playable, you know, what with the imaginary paywall/excessive grinding and all...:p;):D

First post I read is about freezing/crashing. Lovely.

Props to NB for the end-of-level auto-magnet add. It's nice to see that the developers are also aware of the apparently non-existent paywall...;)

Hopefully they sort the freezes out and keep tweaking, which, if past record is worth anything, they will.

Same here. Was waiting to see if the update was any better. I guess it isn't. Well, good for me I guess. Less competition at the arena.

I find the Archer pretty useful.

I'm having no issues at all with my iPod Touch 5. Perhaps the crashers don't have enough free space left on their devices? I always keep a couple GB free to give the system room.

Her damage is tiny, but I guess the rate of fire makes up for it?

I like Boomey at 3 stars because he has huge damage and with the increased bullet speed, he truly snipes enemies. I don't have Gizmo there yet. And I like he new hero. I had the cash saved up before the update, so I have him at 3 stars now. Is it just me, or is he modeled after an Air Bender? :p

A while back in the thread, someone said that it doesn't really matter who the lead is. I couldn't agree more. What's important is who you pick up along the way. Especially in the arena, this and the power-ups you get make all the difference!

So I'm not the only one getting an Avatar vibe from him!

The leader does matter to an extent I think. For example, leading with Uther or Arcane or Gizmo is great, while with Gurzog or Ezora it's rather painful.

Wow that is a tough Arena.
I finally unlocked Kishi today by beating Courtyard2 :)
I upgraded him to 2 stars, but against the demons, I still die very fast from their blasts :(
Only scored 105 for TA1, I hope it'll get me in the top30!

Edit: it wasn't enough to get in the top30, so I switched and I did 103 for TA2

NimbleBit, you have not let me down yet, and this time is no exception!

Always willing to eat my fair share of crow, the auto-magnet at the end of the level has essentially changed this from feeling unnecessarily grindy to feeling like it progresses at a fair pace.

Well FRIGGIN' done! Have I mentioned lately how much I love having a platform wherein gamers and game makers can interact?

Another developer listens to their customers and succeeds in making a game virtually perfect with one minute change...

Oh, and the game freezes at the shop, but just wait a minute. Mine continues as normal after the hiccup.

Updated the game on my iPad 4. Been playing for half an hour now, no problems encountered.

As far as I can tell it is all about GC friends. If you have several hundred the game is likely to lock up, if only a few you might be okay, or by disabling GC you'll be fine.
