Adults know when to be grateful for something you don't have to pay hard earned money for and still get fun out of it. Criticizing a game because its not made the way spoiled brats and haters ( yes, i'm gonna stick with that) think it should be made it's not an adult approach at all. And i remember very well the "old days" of gaming. Are you saying we should go back to Pong? Sure, no IAP there...
I am an old-fashioned gamer myself. To add to the old-fashioned versus in app purchase argument. If you preferred the "real game", then go out of your way to purchase as many games like that. Games like for example, Gemini Rue, Mist, riven, Secret of mana, monkey Island, Games that cost four dollars or more. The problem is too many people complain about IAP games and not enough are willing to spend five dollars.
I dont have an issue with IAPs per se. In this particular game, it is clear that they want you to buy the $4.99 red gem, and that's fine by me. Once you have that, there is no compulsion to spend more. And even without it, it's a neat little pick up and play title. Yes, there are games that take IAP to an extreme. I don't think this game is one of those.

Depths 1 isn't even a paywall, it is a thermonuclear IAP laser guided crust cracking nightmare. I like the game, but... I would have rather paid $1.99 for this game and enjoying a non-logarithmic escalation of necessary firepower. Everyone needs to check out 'Hard Lines', it is an awesome Snake game that has a lot of meat on the bone. It goes will with playing Nimble Quest.
Depth1 is fairly challenging, but it's passable with buffs and some luck. I'm stuck at Castle2 now, you just need to constantly attack something. Gaaaahhh I want that Hydra!

Love this game and play it all the time! Any chance we could see "boss" enemies in the future? I think if done right, it would be a fun addition to the game.
I don't see how it would tilt the balance of the game in favor of IAP buyers "if done right." From what I can see, NijmbleBit it a class act as far as free to play games go. Yes, the levels get really hard as you go, but why play a game that's super easy? Personally, I enjoy the challenge. The only IAP I bought was the red gems, AFTER i had played the game extensively. I have 12 Heroes at 2 stars just from playing the game. I'm sorry you don't like how NB does business, but I have to respectfully disagree with how you feel.
