I added up the time for myself and it wood take me around 5 hours of non stop play to level one character to 3 star. I think most of te people with 3* characters bought the red gem drop for $5.
Nope. No red gem either. It took quite a few runs. Here's a pro tip, though (at least to me). I wasn't buying any buffs until I got a ways in (say Courtyard I or Castle I) and knew I liked the group setup.) but while I was grinding, I started buying the speed boost from the beginning, which really improved my gem gathering rates.
Another bonus is that you clear the earlier levels faster, which I can almost do with my eyes closed. One of them, anyway.
My arcane3* is at 60k cost when i buy lv3. Me no red gem... Took me 3 day non-continuous to collect while using arcane leading. My average is 2k per game, swift buff away
I think the idea here is that people will be forced to grind even the lower characters, if they want to do well in a particular Arena event. As it is now, people stick to Arcane or Gizmo or whatever, and neglect the lower characters. I've suffered a similar fate. My advice: Do not put up a new score when there are just a few hours left in the current event - whether in your current guild or in a new guild. It might not register your score!
I can vouch for the ranking and prize system, my 30 token reward was deliver 1 event late, and i register my score pretty late also So, give it a few day, you ll get your reward
Since the new update trying to play arena crashes the game everytime. Is that ment to be levelling the playing field? iPad 4th gen 6.1.3 EDIT: trying to do anything actually crashes it, WTF have you done to it nimblebit? Did you bother testing it?
It appears that ranks 1-30 all received 10 tokens. In a top 10 guild, ranks 1-10 get 40 tokens and 11-30 get 30 tokens each. Agree. I have been focussing on Arcane and he still needs 95k gems to lvl 3! If i play regularly, it will take several days to grind that much. I cant imagine how people got a second and third character to lvl 3 this fast.
Wow, the update seems bad. Thanks guys for the warning. On a side note, just unlock Kishi and got a new high score of over 1000, only to be ignored by Gamecenter, AGAIN! And I thought I could finally reach Aussi3 To be positive, Kishi is a frikkin Slash for range! He's so good, I level him up to lv1 in one playthrough as the leader, woot!
Yep, same here. 11th guild rank is the worst lol. Disappointed by the guild system, it really doesn't encourage a real crew effort. To cut the rewards after 100th rank was a good idea imho, but 30 seems too low, I dunno... At least the rewards should be clearly known beforehand. Few crashes for me since the update too Also if y'all need some free tokens, there are new free ones for watching videos in the shop.
I've been top 10 in a top 10 guild and only got 30 tokens. I think only the top of the #1 rank team members get the 40 tokens. Still, last night for me with #ARCANE guild I finished 20th in the #7th ranked guild. So 30 tokens for me. I guess that's better than 3 tokens. My suggestion as I've posted before, pick a top 10 guild and join it. Look at the top 10 scores, if you think you can compete then stay and compete otherwise change to a different guild and move on. There is no reason to remain loyal to any guild since only the top 30 get the best prize and the rest of the guild pretty much gets the shaft. So in order to build a successful guild it means recruiting a bunch of people that are fine being only getting 3 tokens. Either that or you end up building a successful guild and mobs of people join that are better than you which pushes your score down below top 30. ........ For those that got the update and have managed to get into the current guild battle, were you forced to use a specific character? Which one? I passed on the update (because typically updates are a hit and miss and I didn't want to risk the 30 tokens on it) and this morning I was able to try the current guild battle with anyone I wanted. Turns out Gizmo didn't pan out for me as well as Uther (the knight with the long sword that only attacks head on). I'm currently 3rd in my guild with 265. Nice. But... I was planning to delete the game and move on so I may not end up collecting on that prize. Oh and that was without any buffs at all for either attempt and I earned 3 tokens. So I actually profited a token for playing Arena for a change.
I waited to update until after the guild payout (40 tokens) - updating seems to have erased my payout.
