Oh wow. On the most recent podcast with team meat, they basically revealed that they have the same opinion as I do about these new free to play games. Everything they have to say is pretty much all I have to say. Hopefully they will enlighten some people to the deviousness of it all. I could definitely sense some tension as they were talking about it.
The problem is inherently impossible to solve. It's just a computer program running on your phone. It sends your score to a server. If you modify the program to send a different score, how would they ever know?
It'd need to have server based, online only gameplay to be able to control it 100% and use proprietary, non Game Center leaderboards. Doubt we'll see that shift in Nimble Quest. Pretty much the only control a dev has over Game Center leaderboards is to set a maximum score which is not exactly appropriate for all type of games such as Nimble Quest where the line is hard to draw. Seems like NimbleBit decided to not set any.
Cool I'll listen to that now. I have a feeling its going to echo many of my feelings on the subject. I did backup my save tonight as planned but I have a top score in my guild so I might as well cash that out tomorrow and the back up one more time before deleting this. I wish the dev was more vocal on TA like a great many devs are. It's weird to see no support other than a zealous user here and there.
Finally get to Sewer 3 with Faenel as leader. Good armour and attack power. Think gonna make her 3stars. Afterall, Root, Freeze and Arcane's 100% attack rate are the only moves that really worth it to get. After I unlock Root and maybe also Gizmo's explosion on death, I'll try to go through to the furthest level I can get until I stuck and then I'll stop playing this game unless there's another update on this game.
So what's the patern for the levels. It web Castle 2 then Forest 3 and after that was The Depths 2. How far after that before Sewer 3?
Totally agree. Arcane, Faenel and Hydra are easy lvl 3 choices for me. As far as the lvl 2 upgrades go, I would go for those that increase offensive powers first. Someone like Kishi though, fires with the same power at lvl 2 as he does at lvl 0. His two upgrades are just armor related.
The pattern levels are the same. Forest-Graveyard-Sewer-Courtyard-Castle-Dungeon-Depths. After Castle 2 then it's Dungeon 2, after that it's Depths 2. After Depths 2 then it's Forest 3, then Graveyard 3, after that Sewer 3. So I think after Depths 3 then the next one will supposed to be Forest 4 and so on. It goes on a loop.
When I played I could of sworn the patern shifted from Castle 2 to Forest 3 then Depths 2. It threw me off. Maybe the game glitched during that play through. Thanks for the reply.
Toucharcade2 is 11th guild, 18hours to go. If you're in TouchArcade or TouchArcade1 and are below 30th rank, the reward should be only 3 tokens. it may be smart to hop in TA2 to get more if you're able to do 100 kills I guess Don't forget your score is reset if you switch guilds (you have to do a new arena run).
Is the reward still good through the 30th rank? I thought they cut it back to the 15th rank sort of like at the beginning it was the top 100. I hope it's the top 30, but I feel safer with a higher rank. I'm currently 14th in Arcane which is 8th guild with a score of 172. As long as that holds (which it better as I spent my last few coins on it so topping my own score would be tough), I'll get 30 coins and then I can do another backup of the save and then delete the app from my phone. Bullfighting Hero went free and I'm finding that pretty awesome but Plasma Sword and Melodive have been getting a great deal of my attention as well. Lots of achievements to get and levels to pass. I think like the uber grind of Real Racing 3, this game really inspires me to play games that have a definitive end or overall goals. Maybe it's time to finally play & finish some of those Kemco RPG's that I've been buying... or a Final Fantasy or something.
Weird huh? Should try again if there's still have any glitches. Hopefully not permanent. Anyway you actually beat Forest 3, that's great! Till now I haven't met glitches, just sometimes slow update loading on arena scoreboard.
Got Faenel 3 stars. Root exactly has the same effect as Freeze. The enemies totally stop, can't attack, last for 3 secs. But IMO Faenel has more accuracy because of her missile speed boost. As for the arena I got 383 kills and ranked 1st in TA1 which currently is guild ranked #5. Is there any higher than 30 tokens prize? Maybe should try TA for the next event.

Why Devs Like using Game Center @grits, Yes hacking sucks; and when you use GC, you end up adapting what you *track* to what GC already tracks. But, there are two *big* upsides to game center for devs: 1) We the iOS gamers, are already all there, so spreading the game can happen organically. Getting people to try your game is *hard* and many spend a lot of money just get us to download their game. Game center is an important *viral* channel that allows one person to spread the game to their friends in a "non-pushy" way. 2) Making even a simple game is hard, and development often spins out of control. So when you have the choice to use a time tested, ready made solution like GC, you go for it .
