Might have found a bug. I had 144 kills in the arena and was third in my guild. Then I played again to try to beat my score and got 68 kills. Now it says I'm number 15 in my guild with 68 kills. However on the front menu for the arena it still says I have 144 kills. What's up? So this is strange. I platef again and got 180 kills but then the scoreboard said I had 144 again. Even though the menu says 188. I understand it takes time to update but how would it go back in time to a previous score and then jump ahead again later. -- Just had a cool idea. What if when you picked up power ups it could store up to three of them. Then you could choose when to use it or when to save it.
For those that don't like the guilds Why is that? What is it about it that you dislike? You say you don't like being part of the guild but why not?
I can't speak for anyone else but for me the enjoyment of a game like this comes from the fact that I can interact with it on my own and the results depend only on myself. Why should I be forced to join a group of other people to get those results?
Personally I enjoy the connection with the other players. I also like the game of trying to find the right guild to fit your skill. It's not like you have to interact with anyone. You simply have to place high in a guild. I think it's a really neat system. And as to my position on IAP. I don't feel like any game should be free. Why should I expect to play something for free that someone worked really hard on. I also don't believe in designing a game around a pay wall etc. this whole fad has got to go away. I'm sure it won't but it's kind of sad that it exists at all. If you want to sell your game for free than make a clear pay wall That you only have to pay once for or, just one purchase that makes the game more balanced Such as a coin Doubler and leave it at that. Make a game that has balanced progression. Cut the progression in half and sell it for free. Offer a doubler and those who are willing to pay will pay once to play the Game the way it was meant to be.
Ha yeah. I guess no need to argue that point. I guess all you can do is say what you like and what you don't and leave it at that. Developers have the right to do what they want with their games. And we have the right to say what we think about it. I've posted more on this form than any other just because I'm fascinated by it. I'm more into the theory of it then being an angry gamer. Sometimes I get heated and take it personally but that just makes me think more about why I would feel that way. Anyway just keep up the conversation thankfully none of us have really started berating each other. Ps Another good example of IAP Done right is super stick man golf two. Amazing game.
The guild system would be less irritating to me if it weren't the exclusive mechanism. They could let people "compete" as individuals OR as guilds. Why not?
I'll give you the game is amazing. But the IAP side of it is done completely wrong because there is no way to earn enough Bux in the game to unlock all of the hats. You have to buy IAP or cheat the system somehow to get everything. Also the IAP for SSG also allows for some pretty serious cheating for those that play competitively. So, SSG2 is a really bad example of IAP but a great example of making a game with actual goals to complete with achievements and stuff right there from the start.
The problem with Ember is that I'm pretty sure his damage output is getting distributed across the total number of targets. You can see this for yourself in Forest 1 by walking toward the side of a group of 3. You won't kill them, but you will kill a solo (or I'm just nuts). So the problem is that enemy health is increasing while numbers are also increasing, reducing Ember's (and other aoe) effectiveness dramatically. That's my theory, anyway.
For me, it's frustrating because I work my @ss off, spend a bunch of tokens, and then nothing happens... over and over and over and over and... I would love to actually be a part of the "cool crowd," but it doesn't seem to be working out, which I'm guessing is not the vibe NimbleBit was going for... DBC
Yeah but there's no reason to need any of that stuff. The game is perfect as is. If you play competitively just play without the use of power ups or hats. If there's not, there should be an online mode for that. Oh, and I'm pretty sure if you don't spend bucks on experience leveling up then you will have enough to get most of the hats. In this game you spend money to get a higher score but in golf it's just extraneous stuff. I think I like the guild because there is a clear-cut goal and they reward for playing well. Now if only they would be clear about the rules and the rewords it would be great. Add in some gems to the rewards and maybe some special characters to unlock or something and it would be perfect. Have you tried to join a lower ranked guild? Also I wish the developers would respond to all of our thoughts. I'm sure they're annoyed that are bitching which I can understand But I was thinking they would be more communicative with the community. It might be that they don't care about the hard-core minority and are just making games for the casual crowd he doesn't know better. That's all fine and good I just thought they weren't one of those companies.
What to do with the extra gems? So I've recently fully upgraded all the stuff in the Shop and I have a ton of gems left in my collection now and I just realized how ridiculous it is to collect gems from this point onwards for no reason except sluggishly revive the leader's health level in-game. Anyone knows?
Online mode I that game doesn't let you turn off hats and some hats are required to get some scores. As for Bux, it's an issue that is being discussed in the thread for the game. I, and many others, have only used Bux for hats and are coming up short for the last two or three. The last hat takes over 500 Bux if you want a 100% chance to get it. In SSG2 you also pay money to get a higher score by buying extra special shots. So there's a competitive advantage for those willing to keep throwing money into the consumable IAP. Just saying, that's a very bad example of IAP. I think Angry Birds is one of the better examples. I've never bought a thing other than the apps themselves for those games and had tons of content without the IAP getting in the way. For a freemium game Subway Surfers is pretty good about the IAP. As for the guild in NQ, a guild should be something you join to be there with other gamers including friends with the goal of group domination. Instead it's an internal battle of who is best in the guild but anyone can join any guild they wan so there's no individuality or specialness about the guild like in other games with an online side and guilds. I have jumped guilds again for the reward of being in a top 10 guild with a top 30 score. So tha too takes away from the exlerience. Just game the system to get enough coins to face that last character unlock since now all of my characters are level 2. I think they could make this game exceptional but right now it's a solid framework for that... And that's about it.
To level up your heroes, duh? A level-up from lv2 to lv3 cost 100k coins, so there you have your reason
Hi all, I'm new here and currently playing Nimble Quest. Simple game but quite challenging especially playing without any IAP (what does IAP stand for? it's about the purchases, right?) I've manage to get to Forest 3 and unlocked Hydra 3stars. Quite a grind. The freeze attack is great, though only last for 3secs. But my favourite is still Gurzog, great attacking from sides. Any suggestion which one next to raise to 3stars? My Game Centre ID is CH1215TOP. I joined TA1 guild. Please add me, thanks!
Welcome to the forums ch1215. You are right, IAP = In App Purchases. If you've unlocked Hydra 3-stars without IAP, then that really must have been quite a grind! Some people here have maxed Arcane to level-3 and are very pleased with that. So that would be my suggestion for your next.
Oh,right! Thanks a lot! I was scratching my head yesterday thinking why there would be such a huge flaw in the game. haha
