Wait, what? 3 tokens for being #77th in #1 guild? Dammit it's not the top 100 scores anymore? More like the top 50 They definitely don't want über guilds and to spread out the love I guess
I finished #360 in TA1 and also received 3 tokens. The way the arena currently works it is certainly an incentive to join a smaller team. The whole concept of TA1 has been tainted with people flocking to the guild because of its visible arena ranking. I am strongly tempted to switch to another guild myself for NQ.
My guild (#Toucharcade) finished #2 and I was #7 in guild which somehow amounts to 30 tokens. I wish this whole ranking system was a bit more transparent.
Yep, the public name basically screws any top 10 guild imho. A lot of players switch to the #1 guild by habit hoping to get the best prize. Unaware to the fact that it's better to be in the top of its own small guild. Lemmings... I don't know what the best solution is for NB, but at least they're trying to make Arena challenging I guess I'm not sure the arena should be about tactical guild switch at the last minute
I was #166 in TA1 and I got 3 tokens I might start a forum social group so forum members can compete in it and not be attracted by people who just want to get prizes quickly Edit: I'm gonna make that now, so no one make another one okay Edit 2: Actually, someone else can make it. With my schedule, it's more preferable
One question for the developers. Could be possible to add an alternative control method to the swipe one? I'd like to see one where you have to touch the left/right and up/down part of the screen to move your heroes. Thanks in advance and congratulations for your great game!
That might work well for mobile, but it would be bad on tablets. Too much movement to be precise. A d-pad might work well on tablets, but would likely take up too much space on mobile. Options in the menu might work well, but swipes are the only thing that really universally work well. I actually quite like the controls as they are.
I occasionaly start doing circular motions with my thumb, as if there were a directional joystick! Just remembered how you could play Snake on the Nokia 3310 one-handed, by using the up-down rocker button. The snake would shift direction 90 degrees clock-wise with every click. It was pretty decent once you got the hang of it.
Yeah, I think I'm just going to make a wholly different guild. I figure if I can score around 120 on a solid run, that'll probably net me more than 3 tokens.
I was #2 in the #1 guild.... 40 tokens. For doing so well, 40 tokens doesn't really seem worth it. First reward I was #79 or lower in the #1 guild and got 50? Doesn't make sense.
Same here: 55th in Toucharcade (2nd guild in the world). Just 3 tokens. I hope that things are still getting fixed and balanced out, otherwise it's not worthy to make more then 2 attempts. IMO 10 tokens is the minimum to get people to push for the high score.
Still think they should have had bosses. Maybe at intervals in the arena. Simplicity is fine and all, but as it is I love the gameplay but wont pay IAP just to get a better score, when I'm going to feel much better about said better score by actually earning it.
Wow. Reading the last few pages of posts, it seems there's no real incentive for me to even play the Arena... I mean, if the guild is doing that well, and people in the guild are doing that well, and that's their reward? Uhm, yeah. Pass. DBC
Yeah, I was right in the same neighborhood on the TA1 Guild. I guess 75th in the #1 group doesn't mean a thing. 3 Token reward... I spent 5 Tokens to enter and pay for the buffs. Insert angry face. Honestly though what's even the point of playing this game? There's nothing to achieve.. There are no bosses or anything. There's no online multiplayer. Tehe leaderboards are hacked. It's the same unchanging areas each game over and over to grind in order to level up bit what's the point in even leveling up? Sure we could all change to a new guild, but for what. So it can just get flooded again. Really I think I'm just done with this. There's really no point in playing. What a disappointing experience.
I'm playing to unlock the final character, and see if I can beat my high score. Once that's done, I have other games I can play until Nimblebit adds more content to this one, if they do. If not, I feel like I've gotten my money's worth of enjoyment out of this one regardless.
