So I want the Nike+iPod stuff. But can't afford the Nike+ shoes. I looked but cannot find the Nike+ Armband for the iPod Touch 2G. Does it exist?

Just putting it there would be loose.
And I would NOT make a hole. Never!

Why not? It's just a pair of shoes.

    I don't run that much..................only occasionally.
Not worth a hole in my shoes.

True. Buy a pair of Nike shoes?
But still, If they have a thick enough sole, it wouldn't be a problem.

They are Nike, just not Nike+.
    It's a medium sole.....................I just don't want to make a hole for something I use........say around...........1 a month? Sometimes I skip it for a month all together

Guess you won't be racing against those Kenya guys anytime soon?

What about ripping a small tear in the inner fabric of the shoe and sticking it in there? Or does that not work?

There are many methods for using the Nike+iPod sensor with regular running shoes. Here's a good round-up of most of them: http://bit.ly/V5que

Of the many commercially available shoe pouches and armbands, I'd recommend the Grantwood Technology "Tuneband" and "Shoe Pouch." They're well made and relatively inexpensive.
