The music is magical, presentation sooo lovely, controls are simple yet allow for enough variation to not feel monotonous, and creating combos is highly addictive. And I’ve only played like 8 runs. It’s a perfect pick-up-and-play skateboarding game where you auto-skate and press one button to jump. That same button alows you to do any tricks that are possible, like jumping on birds, rail grinds, and grinding/jumping between obstacles. When I saw it was a portrait mode skating game, I immediately thought of Jared N (aka the boss, aka @Boardumb). You’re gonna love this one man. The point system is tough since mistakes take quite a few points away compared to how many you get from tricks. So I found it’s best to avoid anything you know you can’t make even if you have to “miss a trick”. I quickly caught on to the feel and now my high score is 2,103. I’m sure that’s nothing but it’s a start. I like how the unlock system adds your points incrementally instead of making you hit the benchmarks in one run. So far I have unlocked a new level skin.
