Well, you know, you got a point, a good one. Don't get me wrong either, is just that we all are getting used to have closer contact with devs here which is a great thing, but you're right, EA is a big company, with many games, many platforms, many questions to answer etc. Whether I like it or not or I'll be buying it or not, there are almost 600 posts on this thread and no answers, see my point? That's what I think it's not fair. From a customer point of view, 600 posts are a good reason for an answer, even if it is a short one. Anyway, let's see what happens, again good point.
I do prefer NFS over Real Racing because of the licensed cars as well. Especially the Nissan GTR! Don't give up hope guys, I have a feeling it will come out this week.
Nissan GTR you say?! Hello, honey!!! I dunno, I really like that car for some reason. And have a tipped the thread to the point of 60 pages? ...damn.
How many of u guys r tired of seeing that need for cheese forum. It's really getting annoying. I just got on to TA on my ipod and mistook need for cheese for need for speed.
Yeah it is kind of annoying, I wish they chose a different name... Anyway, I'm starting to get a bit pissed off because I'd like to buy Tiger Woods, but I'll bet that right after I buy it NFS will come out the next day so I'm holding off on it since I only have enough money for ONE $9.99 game, and I'm safely assuming that NFS will be $9.99.
I think the App Store is starting to break that 5.99 price point. We've seen 2XL Supercross hit the Top 20s, Assassin's Creed at like 15 right now, Tiger Woods is slowly rising right now it's like #30, and this one will probably be around #20 along with Real Racing being around that #10-20 spot.
This is happening since bigger developers with well known ip's are releasing games. They are smart with their marketing and know they can hold a higher price point without having to drop. Also by holding the price point they don't loose credibility. Once an app has been to 99 cents and back to its original price, everyone expects it to drop again and waits for it to drop, and the dev is forced to lower his price again to get sales. The only app that has gone to 99 cents and gone back up a couple of bucks and still sold is geodefense. It's been hanging around 70 in the app store even at 4 bucks when it peaked around 30 when it was at 99 cents.
This is great news! Hopefully we will get to the point where 9.99 is what you will expect to be a polished game and 19.99 will be the price point for extremely fun, with excellent replayablitiy.
Haha of course you can hope, I won't crush your dreams. But if a game is priced that high, it has to be extremely polished and high quality, for example a GTA or Call of Duty game... Now THAT I would have no problem shelling out $20 for.
