Harpgliss, I'm not trying to make him like NFS:S more, I'm telling him that it isn't right for him to force us to believe that Real Racing is better, no matter which game we like more, or prefer.
While your logic is sensible, at best it is very fragile. If "people" dont like being told which is best or better to spend their hard earned money on, why do we have so many thriving review sites such as IGN, Edmunds and such? It is because people WANT to know which is best when they are considering a purchase in order to avoid wasting money on an inferior product, be it video games, cars or whatever else. Hence my review, is not meant to tell people what to do, however to WARNED them about the possibility that NFSS may not be what all the hype has told us it would be. I'm gonna go cry myself to sleep now for the $10 I just wasted. So far from all the $10 games I have purchased: NFSS, Avatar and CoD Zombies, the latter seems to be the only one worth the price. Long live Activision. Thank God they did not give this project to gameloft or EA, would have been a real disaster dont you think??? LOL
i'm using an iPhone 3G and i admit, it really is choppy sometimes with lags. RR doesn't have those short comings but still, NFSS is a good buy. only needs some framerate improvement
Strangely enough, this thread was first posted in the Games section, but when it was moved, it was moved into the General Discussion section instead of User reviews. I'm guessing that whoever moved this thread also thought that the review was just a big joke.
Wow, that bolded part is just flat out wrong. I don't think you're in the position to be telling people they need more schooling. There is no definite "best" of anything. Even if something wins a "Best of Whatever" award that does not make it a fact that it is the best. The people giving out the award's opinion is that it's the best, but there will always be somebody who disagrees. Opinion ≠ fact. Try to "comprehend" that. And I'm still wondering about this time paradox that has allowed you to own Real Racing for over a year.
Thank you Slighmd for admitting something my review has hit dead on... Unlike all these other guys here trying to make excuses for EA's poor execution of a game that could have been great but is just another arcade racer and nothing more.
Hi, Helmania, can't speak for others but I read reviews to get details of what something offers or lacks, not to be told to buy or not buy. Hence, my logic is quite solid. You are trying to convince readers here that Real racing is great and NFS Shift is junk, not letting individuals decide for themselves. David
Shooters and RPGs are such different genres that of course it works for the example. It's like saying I prefer soccer but I think golf is better. But nfs andreal racing are very similar ie racers, that does not work in their case. A person prefers one over the other.
NFSS,Avatar,CoD ZOmbies........ CoD is the only one worth the price !? a game with only one map with limited modes and actually just a mini-game from the console version against a game with 13 levels and a game with 18 tracks? hmmmm...............ok that's your opinion
I agree. Helmania, I know you're new to the forum, but if this is how you roll, I don't want you here. NFS:S is a hybrid racer, both Simulation and Arcade. Real Racing isn't either of the 2, it's a game in which you happen to drive cars, trying to beat other people who also happen to drive cars. You should be thankful, I fixed your post.
Ok I admit I'm wrong about RR being out for a year. It feels like I've been playing it for 12 months now. Anyway I supposed according to your OPINION, the Toyota Prius has won all these awards not because it really gets better fuel economy, but because it was the blinded opinion of the award givers. Dude, it doesn't matter what you think, some games are BETTER than others just like some girls look better than others. If you like FAT girls, you may think a fatso is more attractive than say Tyra or Angelina Jolie. That would be your Opinion. But the FACT would be, that a fat girl will never look better than those two. Case close!

You just don't get it do you? Fact: England is in Europe. Opinion: Whether a girl is attractive or not. About that Toyota Prius thing: It is the opinion of the judges as a whole, that the Prius deserved to win those awards, THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT FACT!!! You are the new definition of ignorance.
Also, sorry I'm getting so worked up about this, it's not that I love NFS that much, it's the fact that your complete and total ignorace, and failure to comprehend the English language is going to help to ruin the reputation of a good game.
