I think you, me, and TiltMyTouch are desperately hoping for this .___. There aren't too many TA regulars that still have a 2nd gen
iPhones are FAR from cheap. Have you seen the monthly rates? There may be well over $1000 in the difference of price between buying an iPhone (2yrs) and an iPod Touch.
Woah woah woah! Wth? He asked if he should buy an iTouch and I suggested that he wait. I myself am hoping to buy a 4S.....
What is that? Is that a new porn invention I haven't heard about yet?! Anyways, I've heard a lot of complaints lately about the 4S and I don't see what the hate is about. I think it's wonderful, especially the Siri and the faster processor and it will make a great upgrade from my 3GS.
If people wanted an iPhone they would have one already. I for one don't as I don't want to use my phone battery for music and apps also I wouldn't buy a 4s anyway it was outclassed by other phone before it was even announced. I'm sure a lot of people will be happy with it but I'm just thinking wow really that's all.
And please tell me what those fancy phones have that utilize all that stuff. It isn't helping that annoying lag found in all Android devices. And It certainly doesn't have any games that beat the iOS.
Pretty much everything the iphone has in honesty all the same gameloft games, galaxy on fire 2 emulators for the nintendo 64 and playstation, playing all movie formats without converting etc have a look through their app stores. If you want to buy last years technology though that's up to you like I said i'm sure plenty of people will be happy with the 4s but there is no way I would buy one.
No thanks Very bad signal.Steve Jobs is away and no innovations are there. Ipod touch only gets a new color??? No bigger screen, no faster processor, nothing? And the iphone? No bigger screen too.Nothing else anyone really needs.Just an update.Faster, better camera, thats all? Nobody wants to speak to his iphone in public, nobody needs that.
I fail to see how those are better. The iPhone has one big advantage over them. iOS. I have used Android. It has some nice points over iOS but I'd much rather use iOS. The simplicity, smoothness, integration with other apps just blows Android out of the water. The iOS experience is just awesome. And I'm not sure what you mean by last year's technology. I don't see how the A5 chip is last year's technology. I don't see how the high end camera (for a mobile phone) is last year's technology and I definitely don't see how Siri is last year's technology. And the games you mentioned? They have to run over a java layer which means they won't be as fast compared to the iPhone 4 let alone the 4S, which runs the code natively.
It's a dual core 1ghz chip they have been in phones well over a year now, 2ghz phones are on the way from Samsung and others and also quad core phones are on the way so to me at least the A5 is definitely last years technology. I could say the same about the camera as 16 megapixel is another recent Samsung announcement and should start to appear in phones as well. As for the java layer that only effects android but even then Android gets full GPU acceleration soon in ice cream sandwich and even now I think it is very impressive. I'm very disappointed with apple right now I expected something that could keep up for at least a year not something that was behind phones that have been around for over 8 months and to me the real sickener is no new iPod unless they have another keynote really soon I'm going to Samsung for my iPod replacement.
How is this upgrade worse than the one from 3G to 3GS? Steve was there. It just seems consistent, with a new major product every two years (and the updated product is still better than any competitor). About the last sentence: I've already read that many time, but i think you are missing the point, you are talking into a phone in natural language! It shouldn't be strange at all... random people around you shouldn't notice you are not just having a regular conversation, and why should they care in the first place?
Word, bro. Might be a nice upgrade. edit: but I also guess that a big bunch of android phones will outsmart the new iPhone in the next 12 months. I am still a bit torn. The 3GS might last nearly another year...
It wasn't time for me for a new phone anyway, so I dont care at all if the new iphone was 4S or 5. I find the cloud stuff and wireless synching more interesting than the new hardware. Gamers should be pleased, the power is there, the screen is no comparison to iPad anyway, even if they had made it a tiny bit larger.
yeah, I agree. My only complaint is that Siri won't work with Italian, at least for now. We had to wait a couple of years for having the bookstore (opened a couple of weeks ago), I hope Apple will be a little faster this time.
