Apple stock goes down after every event, and people who doesn't understand how the stock market works always attempt to make this observation.
Yeah, that is true... But they did announce that they will be releasing a new white iPod touch, which does sound appealing... I'm assuming it's the 4th gen re-released?

Yeah, since the price is the same, I'm pretty sure they're identical. I'm fairly sure they'll continue with the Touch, not making a new one wouldn't make sense. Pushing the announcement to the event with the iPad would.
Yeah, that does make sense... but why would they re-release the 4th gen if they're just gonna release a 5th gen later? Haha! guess not!
Well this was kind of what I expected. Increased processing power with the A5 chip, and a few extra features. Similar to the iPhone 3G - iPhone 3GS upgrade. I have an iPhone 4 so I'll wait for the iPhone 5 or 6. But for anyone with a 3GS/3G/2G then upgrading to the 4S would be worth it IMO.
Oh really?Have data to back that claim up? Or are you simply trying to defend Apple's failure to keep up? This is simply an epic failure, and Android will continue eating their lunch no matter how many bs lawsuits Apple tries to throw out there to eliminate competition.

Cause it's a new color! And I'm actually serious here. If I recall correctly, they did the same with the iPhone 4 too. Anyway, I woouldn't get an iPod touch just yet, I'm like 90% sure a new one will come.
whats wrong with the design? the first 3 generations of iphone looked nearly identical ... so why do they need to make a new design for an hardware update? also the iphone 4 design is one of the nicest designs i've seen on a movile phone in a long time and like it alot more than the previous design.. so why do they need to change that..? the iphone 4s got more cpu, more gpu, more features for the same price as before and people are dissapointed.. you can use your old accessoires with the new phone don't need to buy new ones but thats all so bad because this ugly phone definatly needed a optical redesign than a hardware & software upgrade it received? yeah right.. if the performance of the ipad2 is any indication you get an new iphone that beats everything else on the market with its raw performance and even needs to push 20% less pixels than the ipad2.. can't see anything wrong here.. and if people still don't realised the update politics of apple i don't know what to say..
Honestly, I'm not some spoiled angry kid mad that the iPod Touch didn't get a ton of ridiculous improvements this year, but seriously now. The fact that there's no iPT 5th gen is a major disappointment, but they couldn't even bother to add some more RAM or better battery life in an iPT 4S? $30 cheaper this year, and available in white. That's it. Seriously considering whether I should really upgrade this year from a 2nd gen or wait ANOTHER year.
