This game has been released. The game thread is here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=310212 This thread is now closed. ---- Welcome to the official Nexomon thread! We would like to share with you our new project named Nexomon. Nexomon is an epic monster capture game for iOS. We teamed with the people behind the hit game Micromon (launched on July 31st, 2014), a game that was at one point #1 in the Appstore and a fan favorite. Check out the full trailer: General info: • Platform: iOS • Price: $USD 2.99 • Launch date: August 10th, 2017. um... some of the scenes in the trailer are straight out of Micromon? I bought that game originally (before it was free to play) and found it super grindy so gave up. How is this game different?
loved the micromon back in 2014. It did have some F2P systems though (ok, initial price was 1$ so can't complain but- Hopefully this will be fully premium, no real money gacha stuff for monsters catchballs etc and fully playable offline. EDIT: nvm, crystal gacha is there.
I cannot wait! Micromon was wonderful. Top notch iOS revolutionary monster catch game. The production values were pleasant. High quality sound, animation, and story. I was wondering what happened with the team behind micromon, glad they're back in action. To the person above me, its 3$. There's obviously going to be some sort of extra purchases. How else could something such as this creation become real? It's a very high quality game. It appears. Hopefully it's not intrusive though! Can't wait.
The video makes it look like the battles are auto battles and you just sit and watch em to see who wins. I hate that stuff I like full control of atk , skill, defend, retreat. But I didn't see any in battle command giving
i'll just post the IAPs explanation video here for game information purposes, form your own opinons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJU5cvvnDGw
I was pleasantly surprised by.Micromon when it released. I expected it to be just another Chinese knockoff of a well known game/series, of which there are masses of them. Instead It turned out to be a rather well made game with a lot to it. So I'll definitely check Nexomon out when it drops.
Looking at more gameplay videos... it looks like it's a slightly re-skinned version of micromon (I think they've done this already, I seem to remember the game was pulled and then re-released) Dev, can you shed any light on this?
I worked in both projects. Micromon was re-released but not re-skinned. Nexomon was built from the ground up by another team.
It has 3x the content Micromon had. If you loved Micromon you will love Nexomon. IT also features a brand new story that somehow links to Micromon's.
Ah! You just made my week. I'm secretly dancing. Cannot wait! Ps: I hope there's some cool powerful monsters that I can eventually obtain (either through the wild or eggs). Micromon had a lot of unique variants.
The area about 7 seconds into the trailer looks very familiar from micromon? I did enjoy micromon, but got bored when it got very grindy later on, will this require iaps to make decent progress?
Hmmm I'm not sure, I mean I worked in both projects and nothing is alike (aside from the monster catching theme). The art style is similar but different. But anyways, we think Micromon was a great game so I take it as a compliment. Beta testers did not require any iaps to finish the game. Some basic grinding is helpful to make it easier (like any rpg) but not a must if you play carefully.
Thanks! We learned from experience that multiplayer is pretty much a full game by itself. In order to make it engaging and fun, we decided to focus on the story mode, polish it as much as we can and then gather and apply all the feedback form users before thinking about multiplayer. This is because story mode does not require as much balancing as mutiplayer. There's also the financial part of it since we pretty much dont have the resources at this moment for multiplayer. Hopefully we have a strong launch and then we can start working on multiplayer ASAP
