    Hi Guys,

    I'm a long time-reader of Touch Arcade
AND ALSO an iPhone Dev Artist - who worked on Newton's Cradle.

Just wanted to post an announcement that our App has been updated to v1.1 now with Multi-touch! (and is still free)

So you can pick up more than one of the balls and smash them together from both ends
(if you don’t suffer from “fat-finger-itus” try one ball per finger)

Thanks to all the Cradle Users for all the feed-back we've got and
please let us know more of what you think!

Well, multitouch was the one thing which was missing, but the thing which was wrong was the physics simulation. It just felt not like the real thing. Has this changed?

    Thanks!
Good to hear you like the App (and my bad sense of humor :) )
A fun little diversion is exactly what it's meant to be.

Multi-touch is now in ... but it wasn't the only thing "missing".
We still have some ideas up our sleeves ;)

    Yea, the physics aren't perfect,
we actually restricted some of this from an earlier version
(e.g. you can't turn it upside side down, or tangle the strings as easily)
    But
we have tweaked the performance, please give the new version a go
and let us know what you think.

    @Ringo50K:

This is a cool app but much like the real thing gets old pretty quick. I sometimes take it out and put it in my desk just to show it off to my friends.

The new version is nicer but I miss the ad free version. Also, not sure why you need a return to the main screen from the cradle screen.

Newton's Cradle - now with PRO

    Hi again,

Just wanted to post an announcement that our App now has a PRO version with new "professional" features ;) including some suggestions from users feedback.

New features (taken from the store description):
    - 9 different types of 'balls' with custom sound effects

    - "Freeze Mode" - freeze time and move the balls individually to set up the ultimate clash.

    - "The Head Basher" - take a photo of someone's face and turn them into the Newton's Cradle balls so you can literally bash their heads together!

So once again, thanks to all the Cradle Users for the feed-back and
please let us know more of what you think as we continue to improve Newton's Cradle.

I'd love the head basher. How cool would it be to put someone you hate on a ball, and smash them?

Newton's Cradle PRO is a paid version $1.99 US.
Because there's new features in there - YouTube vid on this page: http://www.enabled.com.au/games/newtonspro.htm

When Newton's Cradle resurfaced in the the top 10 Apps, we thought it was worth the effort of putting other projects on hold and making the Cradle we always wanted to, (and hopefully get some remuneration for our efforts - which can make our other Apps possible - one of our unreleased games can be seen on : http://www.enabled.com.au/games/index.htm under coming soon)

Thanks! It's great to hear that you're a cradle fan.
We didn't know how many people liked it until we checked our stats and saw our downloads were not in the hundreds of thousands anymore ;)

It wasn't designed as a torture device, just a weapon of mass distraction...

People will use it as they want.
Seen some cool examples with random objects around the workplace.

As I said before, we really appreciate the support from people like yourself - it's been huge!

And making Newton's Cradle Pro has been great - but we have some other larger scale Apps up our sleeve which the funds from Newton's Cradle PRO could make happen.

So I guess now we're just asking for another kind of support.
