It would seem that the people who have been able to review the game pre-release received promo codes. It's not possible to send out promo codes until an app has been approved. I don't think ngmoco decided not to release Rolando as promised, I think something else as yet unexplained has happened and hence the delay.
i guess something could of happened. ngmoco has to tell apple to release it right? If so then, i think apple is being gay...
ngmoco would have specified the release date when they submitted the app for review so yes they tell apple the day. My suspicion is that it is something to do with Apple as well. Maybe they're afraid the massive demand will kill their servers hehe
they need to keep us informed. well they did 7hrs ago. But shouldnt they let us kno why its not out right now so that people would understand.
That's what I've been saying too. If it is a problem with Apple then Apple may have some control over what ngmoco can and cannot say. There is an awful lot that Apple doesn't let the devs talk about!
I suspect this is it as well. I bet Neil would love to come out and say 'apple stooged us' but it would make apple look bad, and sour the relationship
It's already been confirmed it's fake man... Anyway, this is classic dev-consumer lack of communication. In almost any release like this, the devs seem to be completely incapabable of providing a simple update. I've waited for numerous software releases online (3.0 jailbreak being the last one) and it's clear that developers (of games or other software) have an inbuilt disability that prevents them from writing a sentence on Twitter informing us of the status of their release. It's fairly ridiculous and I think the industry needs to ****ing buck up it's ideas. Why they think they can waste peoples' time without giving them an explanation is ridiculous. Of course this is a generalisation but this sort of negligence happens far too often. I'm personally not too bothered when this comes out, but it's the principle. For people who are anticipating it it's an absolute pain. So **** you ngmoco, I'm not going to be paying for your game and I won't hold my breath if you ever make a game that I'm actually interested in. Delaying a game on the day it was supposed to come out is an absolute joke, and their lack of updates even more so.
