It won't change so much if it will be live in 2 minutes (1st of July in San Francisco) or 3 minutes (2nd of July everywhere). The people expected it in the morning, that's why they got crazy.

Big marketing disaster I loged into this thread regularly during university, followed it constantly in the evening hours, went to bed, slept 8 hours and 60 pages later: "Sorry for radio silence, we work really hard." It's a real marketing disaster for ngmoco, lots of people are disappointed, many bought other games (in my case: The Battle of Pirate Bay and Oregon Trail) in the mean time. Advice to other devs: Never base your marketing on a fixed release date.
i still got plenty of time to wait, its now just past 4:30pm here in aus july 2nd, i hope i get to play it tonight!
What about Hawaii? They don't exist?? Maybe not expected it in the morning, but at least sometime during the afternoon (at most.)
Agreed. People just went and bought something else for the sake of purchasing something. As soon as its out, everyone that bought something else will be grappling to get their hands on the game.
True. I'm sure the pissed off fans will still get it when it comes. I just hoped our anticipation with the game was reciprocated with some sort of heads up that July 1 is a targeted release date, or official release date. ...Or an explanation of what went down.
