I'm glad to see the moderator removed the link to the hot boys calendar and didn't remove the hot girls' photos. At least we know what he likes...
Remember guys, this is a Rolando 2 thread! Not a ban hammer, 44 year old lady, discuss thread. Please stay on topic, I know you guys are going a little bit crazy but calm down. Let's talk about ngmoco and Rolando 2, not 44 year old ladies. Case closed.
I've been thinking it over as to why the game isn't out yet, and I've come up with a few possible guesses that fit the facts. The interesting facts to consider are as follows: ngmoco has remained completely silent as to the reason for the delay ngmoco still believes they can get the game out very soon ngmoco claims to be working on getting the game released, implying they have some control over the situation the game has been approved by Apple already I've been thinking these facts over, and I've got a few guesses as to possible reasons we aren't playing the game: 1) Apple's servers/software/hosting are experiencing a problem (The "blame Apple again" proposal) This one is likely enough, considering how many other developers have had problems with Apple's approval process. Rolando has probably been already approved, but there may very well be another issue on Apple's end that is preventing release. Ngmoco may have chosen not to say anything about this out of fear that speaking would violate the NDA they've signed with Apple, which may in fact be true. 2) The game has been intentionally withheld by ngmoco for marketing purposes (The "sinister motive" proposal) While I think this one is the least likely reason, it does fit the facts. They're not telling us why the game is delayed because there is no good reason for the delay, and doing so would infuriate us. They can get the game released any time they want to, and of course it has already been approved by Apple; Apple has nothing to do with the delay. 3) The game has been withheld due to a potential legal situation (The "lawyers suck" proposal) There are a huge variety of potential legal challenges for any software release. Maybe they used some source code from an open source project and didn't redistribute the code. Maybe someone with a similar game sent a cease-and-desist notice to ngmoco, and NG pulled the game in order to review the situation with a lawyer. Maybe Apple themselves received a legal threat, and are refusing to post the game until ngmoco responds to the allegations. There are a whole lot of possibilities here, and they all fit the facts - Ngmoco is trying their best to clear everything so the game can be released, they can't get into details with us do to potential legal complications, and Apple may or may not have anything to do with the situation. I think this one is likely. 4) There is a disagreement between Hand Circus and ngmoco (The "teamwork's a bitch" proposal) This one is pretty simple; somewhere along the way, the two companies involved in making this game thought they had an understanding about something, but it turns out they didn't. Maybe the contract was poorly written, or some other ad-hoc complication arose before the game was released. Both parties would want to wait for this to be resolved before the game is shipped, and it would also account for the facts fully. Anyways, these are my ideas. If anyone has any other suggestions, post them; kicking these about will give us something to do while we wait.

This one is a definate no as hand circus retweeted neils tweet on their twitter earlier on, so no falling out there.
I didn't know that, nice catch. This makes it less likely, but it doesn't necessarily exclude it. Falling out or no, both parties would still want to sell the game. They'd just want to wait until they have a firm contract before moving forward, which does fit the facts. Less likely though, for sure.
