If this stays as an iDevice exclusive title, I think this could be the first game that might compel buyers to buy a iPhone/Touch strictly for gaming. I've never owned a PSP, but the upcoming MGS: Peace Walker is making me consider one...I wonder if a similar thing could happen here?

yeah, the first post with details states "- The game is made up of five scenarios (playthroughs) in all - Each playthrough revolves around one of the five two-person teams"
I read that too, just want to make sure since all vids and screenshots prominently show him as the main character, thus I'm worried the 4 other playthroughs heavily involve him too. eg. instead of just using another pair, it would be another pair + him (as seen on trailer).

OMG - the vid and the screenshots are epic! I need new pants right now... On the english page, the producer said they are making one last adjustment! I bet that this game will be released in the next 7 days. I just wonder how S/E successfully hid the developent process in the last year. Not a single information had leaked out.
To be honest - this is the best strategy to succeed - to surprise the customer. And the game indeed looks sick, just like PSX game. Reminds me of Devil May Cry for Java-enabled mobile phones. But I am not side if I will buy it - at introductory price game definately will be above 5$, and my 8GB iPod is running out of oRAM memory... Sony - be afraid! iPhone is becoming the most promising portable gaming platform!

Yeah... As promising as you may think it is it still doesn't come anywhere close to comparing to "KH bbs" "XIII Agito" "The 3rd Birthday (PE3)" "God Eater" "Peace Walker" and "Monster Hunter Portable 3rd". I don't know why people always bring the discussion of other patforms in.
Probably not 7 days, but i'd say within a month. if they've been keeping it secret this long they wouldnt suddenly burst out of the darkness several months before release
You may. But remember FF I & II and Song Summoner. After the offical announcement "available soon" they all came after a week.
I can see ports of FF 3 and 4 for the DS in the horizon if this does well Looks like an awesome game, can't wait either
So do I. People should appriciate what can iPhone do and stop demanding enormous gaming level comparing it to PSX, XboX or PC. I wonder why the same people just don't compare PSX game to PC? Because they tend PS as separate platform, something what You have to look at with an eye blink (maybe not anymore). The same should happen to iPhone platform, in my opinion. But!
