Those are FF games and not even the remake. FF13 was announced last year , FF13 versus was announced 3 years ago.Square has many different sections/groups.
i hope this will be really good i wonder if this will a modern RPG,i want a classic one,like Suikoden Chrono Cross,etc even if the battle system wouldn't be turn-based, i hope there will be a great story and part system like Chrono Cross and i also hope it to be 3d
hmmm, is this the game hinted by SE facebook page? The artwork doesn't look much better than the ones from the generic korean rpg's currently clouding up iphone market... Just show me some sprites =)
Sounds interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if this is in 3D, especially seeing as the people who are making it made the 3D RPG 'Wild Arms' back in the day of the PS1/PS2. Above: Wild Arms 5
That's Wild ARMS on the PS2. On the PS1 Wild ARMS had sprites for field maps and Wild ARMS 2 had sprite characters on polygonal backgrounds for field maps.
the first thing that crossed my mind when i saw the front page artwork was FFXI. That being said, im INSANELY excited about this, and cant wait to see it!

Yeah, the battles were in polygons but outside of battles WA1 was sprite-based and WA2 mixed sprites with polygonal backgrounds.
im not so sure Monster hunter would work on the iphone that game takes an insane amount of skill just to rotate the camera and walk at the same time for the psp hahah , but yea looking forward to this !!! Square E. has my full attention glad to see them take a more serious interest in the iphone
is that form Wild Arms 1? the WA2 has better graphics than that anyway,i'm really hoping this one won't be a dissappointment
Finally Gotta say, I've always loved the work from both Media.Vision and Square Enix, I've played every game in both the Wild Arms series (Yes I know the Wild Arms franchise was taken over by XSeed) and the Final Fantasy series and I think them teaming up is going to form an amazing game. Can't Wait!
