same here, i dont see y they dont release it now tho, if tuesday is the big day for app release, wouldnt such an ambitious new ip want to be released on another day
i cant wait to check this with my own eye sounds like a pretty long and replayable game... dungeons upgrade and change along with your level, and you replay the game with different characters for different plotlines... 20-30 hours? something around that maybe.. of course thats a completely unfounded guess
I've never been waiting that much for a game. I didn't get FF1 and FF2, since I was hoping for something original. All the other SE games for iPhone are crap. This can be really it. Every little screenshot looks awesome and well thought out. So, in the the next 2 weeks, I will be very happy I guess.
No, but Square Enix is like Gameloft in that regard: they tend to be very cagey about the whole submission process. If I remember correctly, they simply announced that FF 1 and 2 were coming soon, and then suddenly they had a release date.
I don't blame them. The Apple submission process is so...inconsistant to say the least. No sense in promising a release date when there is no guarantee when Apple will actually approve something. It does sound like for Chaos Ring, April seems to be a sure thing (I've seen an April release being put out all over the web on various gaming/rpg sites). At least we know within the next few weeks we should have it. Then we can see if this truly is the epic/deep RPG I think a lot of us have been waiting for on this platform.
Yep -- I think it's the right strategy, too. And yes, I can't wait to put it through it's paces and see how it measures up with the cream of the crop in other platforms. Ultimately, all I want is a well made game with decent depth...
Yeah I think they do it on purpose so we also chew the info bit by bit. For example, we all now know the 4 teams leaders. And how we can use gene. http://twitter.com/SquareEnixDLG/status/12167054538 <-- whoever that character is, he looks better than any of the male character in Chaos Rings!!
I really believe that this game is already approved. The fact, that S/E shows up when you search for "Chaos Rings", available in every AppStore now, seem to be a good proof. This wasn't so a week ago. I think they want to stir us up quite a bit and then the game will pop up like all the other S/E games, all of a sudden. This is o.k., even if S/E doesn't need any hype anymore.
