Hmm... I can't see what you saw. Can you re-check, maybe? And I think it will run fine on a 3G. Normally, S/E are good in optimizing games. Is it already midnight in NZ? I think not, or am I wrong? The game won't show up before. edit: I checked, it is 22:47 now. 73 minutes before we know more...
Well, if you search for "chaos rings" in the New Zealand store and "Square Enix" shows up, that might mean, that they already have a linked connection on AppStore between these things. This could mean that the game is approved and waiting for its release. Otherwise, when you search for "chaos rings" there would be no hit in the search function. After apples staff approved a game, they set the release time (mostly midnight and a date) and add the links into the iTunes store. When the time reached the point they've set, the game shows up automatically in the store.
Yepp, should be, otherwise there would be no connection between S/E and Chaos Rings. Maybe it is no midnight release, maybe it pops up over the next two days at the same time worldwide.
I can't wait for this game as much as the rest of you but all this speculation is giving me false hope! Apple approves a game and then it gets released depending on the date the dev sets in their portal. Some of the big titles get a date in advance so they can build some hype (that is why some of them have a date that says coming to the app store Month, Day), some of the smaller ones are just set immediately which is why not all games are released at midnight NZ time (some pop up in the middle of the day etc). If it comes up with Square Enix perhaps it IS approved but now we have to wait for the official Square Enix announcement which might be for today or for in a week! Their Final Fantasy announcement was a bit understated so maybe they won't mind slipping this one in too? Not trying to be a naysayer here since I am as anxious for this as all of you but trying to insert some realism since watching you guys talk I really thought I would be playing it last week! (so maybe I am protecting myself from more disappointment!)
