WYSIWYG editor button issues have been addressed. Now functional in desktop browser are: - decrease size - increase size - ordered list - unordered list - insert link - remove link - insert email link - decrease indent - increase indent - wrap code tags around selected text
Using the iOS Safari web browser and new forums are terrible. - The app preview page that loads in posts from the iOS link is sized way bigger than the screen so only get like 1/5 of the screenshot visible. - On any page with a list of posts, each item is taller than previously and more cluttered. Harder to tell at a glance how many new, unread threads are posted. - No visible last reply date on the post listings, have to go in to each last post page to find that. Top two are the most frustrating because it made a problem worse that IMO wasn't a problem to begin with.
WYSIWYG editor newlines issue addressed. We've deployed a fix for newline disappearances when switching between the WYSIWYG editor modes.
Another WYSIWYG editor update... user control panel editor preference setting now works. Re: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=3513332&postcount=124
Subscribed threads styling is much improved. Re: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=3509782&postcount=97
Hey All I would like to know if the Birthday thread i started can be stickeyd with seeing whos Birthday is shown for the App like we see on the desktop?
I tried to edit my post just above to note that the styling-keys bug still remains... but I couldn't edit the post right: it's like it couldn't tell what part was the prior quote and what part was mine, and it just made a mess. (The first sentence of mine showed inside the quote box, and I couldn't edit what I wanted.)
I'm finding the forum harder and harder to use on Safari on my (admittedly ageing) iPad 3. Is that my iPad or a result of tweaks with this theme? Guessing the former as a lot of people would likely be talking about it if they were having problems. For me, buttons seem to be really unresponsive - the big one right now is that it won't show me a full thread all the way to the reply box. Instead it fades out and there is a Read More button but that button won't work for me.
The "Read More" button is broken on all mobile browsers, I've tried it on iPad as well as Android. The forums are effectively unusable if you're on a mobile device.
I'm trying to change a subscribed thread to use "Instant Notification", but I don't manage to activate the drop down box at the bottom "Selected Threads". I mean, I can select the value "Instant notification", but then where is the OK button? Also, it is already difficult to select a thread. Clicking on the check box makes me "enter" the thread, but then going back, at least the check box is ticked. All on Chrome.
App info at top of threads Threads about specific apps include at the top of every page pretty much all information related to the app: description, quotes, multiple large photos, supported devices, etc. I've noticed only one comment in this thread pertaining to this issue, and the person gave it a thumbs up. But personally, and I've seen complaints about this by individuals in specific app threads, it gets tiresome having to see all this as I move from page to page. For instance, currently in the "Legend of Grimrock" thread, on my 1680x1050 monitor, this information occupies about 2/3 of the entire page http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=261062&page=16. Perhaps one way to address this would be to present this info on the first thread page only. This may not be the best solution, but I just wanted to share my thoughts on this issue.
+1 for this. An alternative proposal: Shrink the height of the app description from page 2 to i.e. 100px with a "show all" link, that slide down the whole description. and it would be fine if the top pagination would be above the description.
How in the heck do you skip to new posts in a particular forum ? When outside the particular forum thread (on pc) I now see a little button for the last unread post in the thread, but on iPad safari it doesn't seem to appear. Any way to skip to the first unread post inside thread ?
