Hi, The new responsive TouchArcade forum theme is now live. Please leave any feedback or issues here. thanks arn
I think it's looking pretty slick. Like it a lot! For anyone who was a bit confused as I was, the 'New Posts' link (and others) have moved to a drop-down on the main forums button.
I want thread icons back. I can't function properly without those. Forum body background could be a little bit darker than the same white as the posts' background.
Took me a moment to find it - that's pretty much the way I read the forums. Everything is very BOLD now!
- Threads with new posts are Bold. - Hot threads aren't indicated anymore Is it the hot threads or new post indicator that you are looking for? arn
Don't like hunting for the little "New Post" arrows which are now mixed in at the end of the titles. Also (probably due to font) pages now seem to be taller/longer, despite having user badges moved to the left of posts (instead of being on top.) Meaning I have to scroll/swipe more to read. And it's removing all my line-breaks. (Which are being retained - if I edit a post, they are present in both editor modes.)
This new look is going to take some getting used to. At first blush I do not like the new look, but my biggest problem is that it looks as if some functionality is missing. For instance, how do I jump to the first unread message in a thread?
I always orientated myself with the "you have posted in this thread" icon. It was also helpful to quickly ignore stickies and locked threads.
It's Firefox. Line breaks show in edit modes, but not when I view threads. EDIT: And the bold fonts are much more so on Firefox as well. I can't even open the page in IE here, I just get timeouts...
Strange how some fonts are rendered bolder in Chrome (Thread Tools button) and some in Firefox (Username, other bold text) You can see in my post and signature block, there are no line-breaks in Firefox. http://i.imgur.com/oVSKyXP.png
Line breaks and empty lines get sometimes added (or removed) as well. No idea how to get rid of them.
Woah, we can have animated gifs as avatars, that should be interesting. I hope that you will still add the "you posted in this thread icon".
But then it won't be animated, will it? I don't want to be responsible for ruining the banana's happiness. Kidding, yes I'll upload. There is another issue where the drop-down menu (when you hover on a username) is covered by the avatar picture of the poster who is below.
