I find £1.79 to be the sweet spot, personally. Anything more than that and I will wait for 2-3 reviews before purchasing.

The price will inevitably drop anyway. :)

It's a *decent* game. I can't say it's easy but it's somewhat worth the money.

    Meh.

I'll play loopy lab a bit longer before trying this one.
The last few games I've bought have dropped in price almost immediately after buying them, and this one seems a little steep.

i dont think its easy either. the puzzles are challenging. this is the main reason i believe its worth it. all the other puzzle games seem to be pretty easy for my taste. and short!

How is Loopy Lab? I've wanted to try it but I never really had the urge to fork out money for it.

yea I'm beginning to join the consensus on the whole difficulty thing.
only on level 20 so far, and while new things get introduced, the difficulty doesn't ramp up terribly quickly.
saw a video of pathways today and it looks pretty good! I'll have to give this one a try.

It seems like there's been alot of comparisons between Loopy Lab and Pathways. Can anyone else who has played both let us know what they think of each of them?

Am I alone in not liking the controls system? you have to tap relative to the character. I'd much prefer absolute controls or swipe controls. It's awkward to keep moving my finger around based on where the character is.

    Am I missing something?

I believe he's referring to pathways.
in Loopy Lap you just swipe anywhere in the screen. it works very well

I was referring to Pathways. The control system could be better.

Thanks for the input. I've been checking out Loopy Labs controls to see how something like that would work in Pathways. We will address this in the next update :)

Hmmm... I'm sorry to have to say this and risk sounding like a douche, but the graphics turn me off. Big-time.

    To explain:
As far as I'm concerned, it's not important that graphics are extremely glitzy or flashy. I don't need Crysis-style graphics to enjoy a game. However, I want to feel that some thought has gone into the graphics of a game if I have to pay for it. Games are, among other things, a visual medium, and this means that whether you want to go for dead-simple or photo-real graphical styles, you should try to make the graphics consistent and kind to the eyes.

With Pathways, I would have preferred a game that was all 8x16 characters in two colours to this jumble of styles and colours. It feels more like a Gamemaker game that uses stock graphics than anything else from the screens, and that turns me off. you should have a look at games like Asterope, Rock'n'Roll to see what I mean. They're not terribly flashy, but they're consistently done.
